Whatever they use now. I think acrylic. They have a titanium mesh in them. My front four are implants and are great. I've had a total of 5 implants fail in the back so the molars are on a partial that snaps on to implants near the front. I just got them yesterday, an adjustment appointment is scheduled for Tuesday.
I'm here because 25 years ago I stopped going to the dentist. Hated them. If I ever give you health care advice, ignore it.

That's great. If she could do crowns and only one root canal, and eat now, that's a good result. I'm sure the process sucked though.
Having all my bottom teeth pulled like weeds, bone grafts and eating soup and mashed potatoes for a year was no fun. The only upside is I lost 26 pounds. It should have been more, but a majority of my calory intake for the last 3 years has has been from beer.
The mechanical process has been fascinating. My dentist has the world's smallest torque wrench. The implants are torqued to 35 newton-centimeters. 3 inch pounds.
When he was placing implants the first time, he kept changing drill bits. I asked if he was step drilling my jaw. He said yeah. I asked are you going to tap it next, he said yeah. I said that's very mechanical. He said there's some biology involved too. Can't argue that.

 

Where this thread ends up will never surprise me.
