Appreciate the input. Mine is my daily driver and we normally take my truck instead of my wife’s Highlander. So it doesn’t sit very long. Does this happen even if it’s just sitting for a day?

I have been running the Coopers about a year now. 275/70/18 with no flat spotting issues. Have about 40k and still have plenty of tread remaining.

Mine was doing it if it sat like a whole day and night. And even after it rounded back out it still had slight vibes. Changing the tire pressure completely fixed it. Think I was at 36 or 38 psi before.

Super happy with the Coopers! Sentimental because my dad used to work at the plant in Findlay, OH. Put them on about 8 mos ago and love them. Great in the snow. Went with 275/60r20. Ditching the Readylift 2.4” front spacers for Bilsteins. Figured I might as well redo the front suspension while I replace the steering rack. There’s nothing some swearing in the driveway can’t fix.

Ya man see how it does for you I know it fixed my issue drives like it did off the lot now. Super odd never had tires do this I thought it was a balancing issue but the techs said they were perfect every time I took it in it was driving me nuts I was about to sell them and buy new tires.

For me, if looking at a good off road E-rated tire that also has good street manners, low noise, and with an aggressive look, the Cooper Discoverer XLT AT3 or Toyo Open Country AT3 tires are at the top of my list and they also weigh less than most. If going for a good riding, long lasting, high quality tire more suited for street use but capable enough for most light off road situations, the Michelin Defender LTX tires are hard to beat. Just my $0.02. YMMV.

    Thanks dude, appreciate the input!

If I go up to 275/70, does anyone recommend doing the speedo calibration? I looked at the Tire Size website and my speedometer wouldn’t be that far off.

    Haha fair enough!

This may be a dumb question, so forgive my ignorance. But I’m assuming bigger tire also means the odometer will be off. Would there be any chance of odometer fraud if I ever had to sell or is that too minuscule as well?

I'm running 275/70 and my speedo is the same. Verified it with an app while driving.

You are correct. Your odometer will be off the same percentage as the diff. between stock (odometer calibrated OD) and larger OD tire. I can’t answer the fraud question, but I’ve never heard of it happening.
    Best.

Just dropping in for a quick update. I’ve got 35k miles on my 295/70r18 XLT’s, and I’m kinda ready for these damn things to wear out! Probably still around 70% tread remaining. It’s kinda ridiculous! 35psi for the win!6E6EFC6A-CAD4-4A83-9765-846BC00F95ED.jpg

35 psi huh? I’m still messing with mine to find the best. Been running 40/38 now 38/38, maybe I’ll try lower. They’re fine, just looking for optimal.

I’m rolling with around 600lbs additional weight in/on the bed, and 35psi front and rear is my sweet spot for this size. Minimal heat increase while driving.

Good to know. I’m probably almost the same with topper and tools and what not. Maybe 4-450.

Trying to decide which tires to get and I just checked these and “Warehouse Out of Stock in this area”.

Same issue with the BFG KO2s I looked into.

Getting my new truck today so swapping out to beefier tires is top of the list.

Honestly it was such a busy weekend I forgot to ask my buddy what he put them at when he installed them. I’ll check this afternoon and report back.

That sucks man. When I told my buddy I would need tires to pass inspection, he told me right away to figure out what I wanted so he could go ahead and order them. Have you checked Tire Rack?

Got myself a set based on the good reviews from this thread. Put about 1000 miles on them, very impressed. Ride is excellent on road and they handled well off road on a recent camping trip as well. 20210905_185544.jpg 20210909_131525.jpg
