Moose gets to sleep where he wants. Bed, floor, couch. He gets hot easy so he usually sleeps on a cooling pad

I haven't hogged things up in here for a bit. Just got these stickers installed from Cboy808 on TW. I've had the same stickers on my Tacoma since 2015 and they still look like new. Great product.

Well bummer news, someone bumped into my truck (likely while parked at Home Depot).
Anyone have DIY dent removal tools or guidance?

I pulled the fender liner down and tried to push it out by hand to no avail. Being on that body line is making it tricky.

Nope. It’s such a drag :pout:

It would be different if I made the dent.

There is a guy up here that can get almost anything out by rubbing the backside of the dent with various sized/configured tools. He works out of his van and has been doing it for some time. Try looking for someone like that, a mobile dent repairman.

If I can find one highly rated I’ll give that a good thought. A mobile dent guy tried to take a dent out of the tailgate on my Tacoma way back when and ended up not getting the dent out and chipping the paint. Still have a sour taste from that.

One of my kids opened up the wifes car door into my last Tundra. I had a huge dent in my door and was pissed. I was thinking that it was going to be a $1000 repair job. This guy pulled it out and you could barely tell that anything had happened, you would have to point it out to someone. I would make sure that they are confident and experienced.

Go hit a trail real quick and if you happen to hit a perfectly positioned tree branch it might make you feel a little better.

    In one week :goingcrazy:

Down to packing the random shit that’s oddly sized and just “stuff” haha so it’s nearing the end but feels daunting because it’s odd ball stuff.
Excluding kitchen and clothes. That’s last.

    Well Tundra fam, some updates!

First, a week before moving the trailer to its new home I found a nail in my tire. Instead of sending it, got some new rubber!

    35x12.5x17 Nitto Ridge Grappler

Two days after the tires were installed we went to our buddies, hooked up the trailer and brought it to its new spot where we’re calling home :woot:

Then tonight we splurged a bit an picked up a Tepui RTT from a Tacoma guy :D

And that sums up tonight’s updates

Popped the tent open to get the doggo adjusted to it. Went easier than expected! He loves the tent. What he doesn’t love is getting down from it haha.

    4BA3B186-2E87-4BC7-BF7C-81A02B87DE96.jpg

Right now the tent is centered, but considering offsetting it to the passenger side so I can get him in and out of the bed from the driver side opening.

How about a ramp? Thinking an MDF plank with a couple hooks on one end to attach to the ladder. I know my dogs won’t go down that ladder

Finally finished installing my skids today! Went to a buddy’s so I had space to work. Notched where my sliders interfered with the trans skid cross brace, got everything lined up and bolted up. Good to go!
Also ran an always hot for my fridge so I can have that operational again. Bre way prefers it over the cooler. No more water logged food!

    I love having a fridge!!

But I just thoroughly washed our ice chest; still the best way to carry enough trail beer to share!

And today we finally made a PVC frame to hold a privacy curtain for our camp shower. :taco:

Were doing food in the fridge (and Bre’s drinks if there’s room) then water and beer in the cooler :drunk:
It’s pretty damn nice to have it! A little nervous about the battery but we’ll see how it goes. Got a jump pack if need be.

Oh right on! That’ll be nice to have and a requirement when camping with friends haha

    I forgot to ask:
Does anyone have experience with BudBuilt skids on these trucks? They came with no instructions, and there aren’t any on their site.
The brackets for the transfer case skid crossmember- idk if I installed them correctly. But if this makes sense: the lipped edge I put on top facing the crossmember so the lipped edge is above the frame rail.

Also the t-case skid is to go above the trans skid. I wasn’t able to install correctly because the slots on the trans skid are larger than the square on the bolt so they just spun. Had to lip the trans skid above the t-case skid because the slots in the t-case skid captured the bolt correctly.

Skid plates are like roof shingles. They all need to overlap each other in the correct direction. o_O
