Can I put sequoia seats in front on my 17 tundra?

Getting desperate with seat comfort here. Really despise my limited seats. Wondering if floor pans are identical on these trucks and if seat airbags would still function properly.

Starting to miss my oil burning 13 suburban (no, gm never really fixed afm issues)

Have you tried any of the other Tundra seats, I drove a limited and felt like the seats were uncomfortable. Platinums, and my Pro seats were much more comfortable to me.

interesting you would say that. I drove a pro a few miles and thought maybe the seats were better. BUT looking at them in pics I can't see how that would be as they look identical but for stitching. sat in a platinum and thought those felt better but $5k price difference was a bit stiff. at this point if I knew those seats would for sure be much better I'd have paid it.

To me the Limited seats just felt super hard. I didn't want leather seats because of my experience with the Limited. I ended up having a chance to buy a pro and was apprehensive because I didn't know about the seats, but they were a lot more comfortable than the Limited. I don't know if there is a difference in the padding or if it's just the type of "leather" that is used or what. I've heard the platinum seats are similar to the Lexus seats which in my wife's care are the most comfortable seats, I've sat in.

Ok have now figured out sequoia seats appear to be same as 07-13 tundra seats. Thinking of cutting out top 2" of the center seat bottom foam and replacing with a softer high density foam. Possibly same with seat back.

I would think it would be cheaper to have the foam swapped out by an upholstery shop vs replacing the seats all together.

i found a video on youtube form a place called The Seat Shop (i think that's who it was) and they seemed to be very familiar with Tundra seats. Emailed them to see if they might have any input on the issue. If i could just put Gen 2 tundra foam on my Gen 3 frames i'd be happier than a former POTUS in a titty bar!

Just found this thread. Did you fix your seat problem? I’ve got a ‘15 Tundra Crewmax. I had leather put in it and have since driven 43,000 miles in it. Not a day goes by when it doesn’t hurt my lower back. If you’ve found the solution I’d love to know about it!!

I know this thread is old. Anyway, I have a 2018 Limited and when I got it first thought that the seats were hard (compared to my previous F-150 Platinum). I just drove 700 miles this past Saturday and wasn't hurting at all. The seats remind me of BMW or Mercedes seats which also very firm, with that comes that they are supportive which helps on longer trips.

I can see that the Platinum seats feel a little better because they have a higher grade leather. You can get to that a lot cheaper by buying Katzkin premium covers (they do have different grades) and have your upholstery shop trim the foam pad and then install some dense memory foam. That would be cheaper then buying different front seats, besides they wouldn't match your rear seats.

Thanks. I've gone back to factory cloth on the front seat but still am not terribly happy. Katzkin would be an option too and surely easier to clean than the cloth but at this point I'm going to hold out hope that the 2020 or 21 redesign includes comfy seats.

Are the Sequoia seats better comfort?

If so, you might be able to bolt them to you Tundra seat frame.

Buckboard is the brand of seat in 3rd generation Tundras. Their motto is, "We get you there, so stop your complaining."

On my suburban I turned the AFM off. Bought a tuner and turned it off. Did that on my burbon and my Silverado. Big difference

I did too. The plug in thing caused some damned screwy electrical issues if you weren't careful.

The new suburbans are just nowhere near the quality of the old ones (which were decent for a GM product). A shame really.

i was wondering if Laxus GX or LX seats fit into our Tundras as well. I am actually ok with drivers seat. I have custom Sheep Fur seat covers upfront so its very comfy. But seat not comfortable for my shorty. So she has been complaining. Started looking at lexus seats from the LX and GX models for passenger. Do not care if seats do not match at all. Its a war machine after all.
