Psh! Bro, I don't shop price, I shop payment. If the dealer can get me a 120-month term my payment will be less than $650, which is no worse than the current prices. Just gotta do some simple math!

this looks like what led to the weird decision to make the back bumper look the way it does

I think they failed with the interior. The big screen looks stupid. Like someone stuck it on there. The front looks like a Tacoma. The rear looks like a titan. Not a fan. The new raptor looks 1000 x’s better IMO. I’ll wait for the Raptor R with a V8. IMO there’s a bunch of upgrades just to be current and on my old Audi and new Cadillac none of those options matter to me such as rain sensing wipers, heads up display, etc…. All fluff

    You just wait
So I haven't heard anyone ask this question yet. Will the 10 speed transmission make regearing for bigger tires unnecessary?

    1. 62 mph is the minimum highway speed here. Hardly qualifies as high speed.
2.. How hard would a turbo timer have been?

The problem will be that it’s most likely all or nothing. I wouldn’t mind the road sign display. But I don’t want it buzzing for going 1 mph over.

you’ll be able to turn that off otherwise every owner would be at the dealership with torches and pitch forks

I don’t disagree that you can’t turn it off. I just think it’ll be all or nothing. So to turn off the buzzing, you’ll loose all of the road sign assist.

    What's up with that!
My GTI had water cooled turbo, and the ECM would run the water pump (electric water pump just like Toyota) after shutting off the engine to cool the turbo if necessary. No such thing as "don't forget to idle the engine for a minute"

I'm not familiar with turbo's at all. But when the wife had a 2001 Subaru Outback I took it into the shop one day and the mechanic had several WRX's out front waiting for repair. I thought it was odd and asked him about it. He told me it's all the owners hauling ass up I80 to Tahoe then immediately shutting it off when they get there. I'm pretty scatterbrained as it is. That'd be me for sure.

i imagine there is a setting in techstream where you could keep the feature but turn off the buzzer.

i mean i did that for the seat belt buzzer on the interior on the 2018. heck i even turned off lights on the arm/disarm but kept the beeps.

    A bunch
Makes quite the jump to go from 0 to needing 1 minute, and spirited race track driving is included in that. Sounds like being overly cautious. And how often do people go from highway speeds to shutting down their vehicle within seconds? Most of us have suburban streets to drive down. And even those living out in the country will mostly have 50-55 mph roads to drive down before getting home, which according to the manual requires 0 cool down time.

Just seems like a CYA statement by Toyota - like the use 91 octane when heavy towing in the current Tundra.

ok i just watch the TFL interview with mike and the comment about fully loaded pulling and doing it for 4 hrs, was that based on 55mph or 65 mph? at 4 hrs that only 220 miles (@ 55mph for 6.8mpg) or 260 miles (@ 65mph for 8mpg). now granted he said the avg pulling load was about 8k on a tundra.

now my worst at pulling a heavy load was about 4.4mpg so about double that best case. back of the napkin extrapolate unloaded mpg i should get around 19-21 mpg @ 65mph.

    just guessing here.

edit: he said example was ann arbor to traverse city (239 miles)
