Y’all forgot it’s a twin turbo. It’s only save gas when it’s running on v6 mode, or hybrid mode, once the battery ran out and you need more power going uphill, the turbo is on…

Saw the ad during last night's NFL game. I'm underwhelmed. Guess I'll hang onto my '11 for now until the 'real world' reports on what this model improves or goes backwards on. I'm sure the TRD Pro with Fox shocks & 3" lift option will push $80k. Good to see they finally added a rear locker, but that's not enough to sway me.

I see what you’re saying, and I agree to an extent. But nothing is going to increase that door jamb number. Better performance doesn’t mean you increased your payload. Often it means the exact opposite. Heavier springs don’t change any of the other factors that go into determining a truck’s payload capacity. Gross weight - curb weight. That’s available payload. When your curb weight exceeds the gross weight rating, you are overweight.

Doesn’t matter how stiff your springs are or whatever arbitrary metric you use to determine that you’re “within reason”. The only thing you can do to actually increase payload is shave off your truck’s curb weight.

Dont get me wrong—I’m over my truck’s door jamb rating on occasion. I’m not saying you can’t ever be overweight in any context by any small amount of weight. I am overweight when we go camping by a couple hundred pounds. But in doing so, I did not increase my truck’s payload.

I've seen a few people online mention that their value offered from places like caravana etc have actually went down since then.

If it's anything like the rear latch button on the 4 runner I'm not worried - mine has worked like a charm for 12 years. The rubber surrounding the button melted at one point (replaced), but the button kept working.

If you could order a base model and get the dealer to sell it to you for MSRP, that is what Toyota has the starting MSRP on the PRO. No extra option double cab. They probably don't exist, but those are the prices the industry uses when the talk about starting price etc.

I dunno, I just read it on the internet..all of them will decrease in value each year so that may be the decrease people are seeing. I have seen it with my vehicle and its nothing new, just the annual drop when new model is announced and available. Its been happening for years...

It was in the advertisement email many of you received, informing us about the halftime advertisement on Sunday. There's footnote in the email where it boasts about power rating.

It's gonna take a while for this aftermarket stuff to get developed and when it does, you're the tester. Victory will buy a new truck and develop it with the consumer as QC.

I'd like to see someone buy a Limited with the factory lift and then swap to the Pro grille when it's available.

Time and dyno's will tell, people need to get some seat time to figure out if it runs like crap and has poor mileage with 87 octane,

not when comparing to the 22 Pro because it doesn’t have a double cab so you have to use the CrewMax base. Which is 55

The new 3rd gen looks like it will be sweet. But at this point, I’d kinda rather supercharge my ‘21. :headbang:

The one thing not mentioned with hybrids and batteries that is a factor for most Toyota owners is resale value, will the fact that 150K is the warranty threshold affect resale...time will tell I guess. I know it would make me think twice if I were buying a used one.

I bet the aftermarket saw this truck way before we did for research and development of products... not all of them but the heavy hitters saw this truck before us... just like they did with the new Bronco...

It has the TRD off-road package, so I'm assuming it has the TRD pro grill and other things.
