ummm... since it's their product they can call it whatever they want and yes... it is third gen. 2nd gen spanned from 2007 - 2021 with a refresh at 2014

Maybe but you guys just dont seem to understand that we called the 2014-now the Turd Gen not the 3rd gen.

Easy to understand the confusion though too.

That's a bummer, I don't understand the move away from an actual tailgate handle on trucks. If an electronic component fails in those designs how the heck do you open the tailgate?

but since they aren't offering it in DC anymore you can't really count that... So it's really $55,195

Anyway, I like the debut, I'm a bigtime Toyota fanboy.

    - EPS, never drove one, but hydraulic gets leaky.
    - Those aluminum brake and accelerator pedals are goofy. You don't want your wet shoe sliding off of those, I'd have 3M grit tape on those ASAP.
    - Perfectly cromulent, embiggens the 2nd Gen. We get a little more of this, a little more of that.
    - Rear e-locker is enough for those that actually will use it. MTS and Crawl Control will work great, proven system.
    - Sweers didn't want to say the stock ground clearance was decreased, but it probably is.
    - Weird the fuel filler is driver side, but the tank is passenger side.
    - The muffler hangs low.
    - Sweers seemed he was focused first making it an onroad family-hauler. Mass appeal, then they keep the Offroad and Pro for offroad enthusiasts, and did some tow things.

I agree they will sell them all, I always find it kind of silly the infatuation with the "off roadiness" of a full size truck, they aren't the best at that.

Watching the TFL video, unless your usage is high speed pre runner type stuff, the Pro is not even the right choice for traditional off road usage. Its designed and suspension tuned for high speed off road use, so most people that know or care about their usage and not just concerned with looks/status will be much better suited to a TRD off road package on one of the other trims.

Without saying it (I'm sure to not upset the toyota marketing monitors) he came as close as he could to saying, if your doing trails with slow speed rocks mud etc, this is not the right truck...lol

Most likely what they have now. 8 year 100,000 warranty on battery motor and components.
10 year 150,000 warranty on hybrid battery itself. I guess I don't care about cost as I won't own a truck for 10 years but I'm sure some in the group will.

Serious question how many plan to own the vehicle longer than 10 years or 150,000 miles?

Have we heard any MPG numbers from the new hybrid?
I'm averaging about 12mpg with my 2018 in a mountainous region. I'd love to get that closer to 20pmg, which is what my wife's Highlander typically runs in the city.

The dealerships will put everyone in line for a March Pro. They'll know their allotment and I bet in most instances, there will be a lot more people in line than available trucks.

Then they'll work everyone against each other. "It's coming. How much are you willing to pay? We're only getting two black ones. It seems like everyone wants a black one. This dude said he's flying in tomorrow."

No, sounds like they are waiting for official configuration + EPA testing before announcing anything.

But: was watching the video from TFLTalk and the lead engineer mentioned the following:
Goal was to drive from Ann Harbor, MI to Travis City, MI (around 4 hours) towing about 12k pounds on their tank size (32gal), so that is 241 miles according to Google Maps. Quick math says that is about 7.5 miles per gallon (so while towing). Not sure how that might translate to not towing.
