Maybe a little. Not enough for me to notice. The accelerator was inexpensive and comes on the TRD pro, so I said “eh, why not?” The filter is supposed to add a little bit, but I did it mostly for ease of maintenance and lifetime application.

Clarification - it does not come on the TRD Pro.
It comes as part of the TRD CAI kit.
But it is inexpensive and easy to install.

My bad. I knew it was part of that kit, I mis-wrote what I was trying to say.

I just installed the Toyota brand bed extender brackets on each side and put back on the original tie down anchors. I then put in an AMP bed extender, which is bigger overall than the Toyota one I believe. I’m curious if you know how your anchors sit over a bed extender bracket, and if it impedes operation of an AMP bed extender? They look great, and I need something tougher. Hoping they work well together. Thnx!

Total Chaos bed stiffeners, ~$180, if you haul a lot of weight, especially things like gravel, mulch, or anything else that would put pressure against the inside of the bedsides, it’s cheap insurance.

Did some research and saw that the Tundras have issues with the bed sides flexing if you haul a lot of weight in the bed, I do on occasion, but also plan on running weight on my DB HD cover with the possibility of a RTT down the road.

so I figured having the bed stiffeners sure wouldn’t hurt, and would provide that extra rigidity and strength, plus they add some useful tie down points that are integrated in the product.

My personal favorites are driver side grab handle, rear away bar, tailgate sealing stripping, paracord wrapped grab handles, carista, husky liners, toyota bed mat, fire extinguisher and mount,, rear seat pet cover, gloss black honeycomb grille overlay, wheel locks, bed stiffeners and of course, rear differential breather relocation.

Would've agreed with you if I didn't have to replace mine twice. Just another option is why I suggested it. Obviously, YMMV.

Removed the factory TSS "off road" steps that hung so low.

I understand and that was a great thread and write up. I've had mine two years and I'm in the truck alone 90% if the time. So far, so good. :fingerscrossed:

I bought a 2018 Limited CrewMax over Labor Day.

    The things I did first:
    • Tundra OEM Bed Mat - $86
    • OEM Door Sill Protectors - Black - $33
    • RedRock 4x4 3-inch step bars - stainless steel - $85 (I figured if they were garbage, I was only out 85 bucks, but the kit was surprisingly good)
    • Truxedo Truxport roll-up tonneau cover - $150 on Craigslist
    • OEM Bed Extender - $120 local
    • Adhesive tailgate lettering - $15
    • Console organizer, half - $17
I'll probably upgrade the step bars and the tonneau cover at some point, but these were good enough to get me going without breaking the bank.

I installed when I received my Tundra. Use it all the time when washing the beast and much better grab when entering than the steering wheel.
Piece of cake to install and as solid as the passenger side.
    Money well spent.

Scan guage 2, locking gas cap, dash mat, locking gas door, license plate frame brake/reverse lamp, cabin air intake screen, front receiver hitch, rain deflectors, air compressor, puddle lights, recovery gear, hi lift, lots of ways to throw money in the pit. When all is said and done I will probably have less invested in the truck itself.
