Happy for you, but sad to see you go. Take a picture of the Tacoma engine for us. I've never seen one in the flesh.

The Tacoma's are strange animals or the tundra is. I worked with a guy who had a big lifted taco. It had to be 6" of lift with 35s maybe. Anyway he'd park next to me and our roofs would be the same height but the bottom of his truck was way higher.

Part of the reason i got the Tacoma is it being smaller and lower then the Tundra.
    The Tundra lifted 2 inchs.
My German Shepherd is getting older and i wanted something easier for him to get in and out of.

Makes sense. How do you like the room of the Tacoma? The ones I've been in have surprised me. I was surprised how roomy the front row was and how small the back row felt. That's strange to me because they look to be very similar size to the first gen tundra. The tacos are nice trucks though. I don't know that I could have one, but it's for the same reasons that would lead me to sell my tundra... Power. How Ford can make great power with their 5.0 and still get good mpg and Toyota still seems to get garbage mpg from their 5.7, unless something has changed lately, is beyond me.
My dad has the 5.0 in his super cab f150. It has almost the same interior space as my double cab Tundra.

This one is actually from the engine bay off the front diff, but they all have the same construction.
My rear diff vent was threaded.

Got it. I think the rear may actually be a check valve because of how low it is, versus the front, which is high enough it wouldn't need it.

Ooh that looks nice. It looks brighter than my aem maybe. I do like knowing what my AFs are doing on things like my Jeep where I changed a bunch of stuff and didn't know where it would actually be running. Does that gauge do anything else besides AF/ lambda? We are in a great time for gauges with the technology finally getting involved more and more.

The 3rd gen taco is very close in size to the access and reg cab 1st gen tundras. The double cabs are noticeably bigger than both.

@KarmaKannon I haven't read the manual yet but it glanced over it and looks like it has more feature other than AF/Lambda readings. I'm definitely saving up for a digital multi gauge read out that DD sales on his website. I mean my Maxi808 reads everything but it's a fat tablet lol

So why do you need two Tacomas as shown in your signature? Is one for off-roading and the other to just drive around town? Just trying to see the logic here if it exists. :D

About to order a diff drop. Need to go ahead and get new UCA's. What would ya'll recommend? I have 5100's on the 4th notch and two 1/4" coachbuilder shims installed already. So I have right at 3.5" of lift. I have had the front end aligned since I have done the lift with no issue in case anyone is wondering. I do not want uniball uppers. I would like to be able to grease my ball joint so I would like it to have a zerk fitting. Not sure if I should go with the SPC since I'm happy with the wheels and tires I have and they do not rub at all (285/70R17). With that being said I don't think I need the adjustment they offer. Thanks ahead of time for any suggestions.

    Has anyone ran the JBA's?

Seems like people are happy with SPC. I like total chaos, but you don’t want uniball.

Looking like this may be the look I'm sporting before EOY, minus the tire/lift, which I'll eventually get to. Any thoughts or commentary on this look, with only the grill insert being chrome? (my mirrors are white; they'll be staying that way)

Looks similar to my truck. Need to update my avatar pic once I wash my truck. I wish I did not have the chrome strip on the bumper. Is there a way to get rid of it? I have a new grill from Custom grills just need to take the time to the mods to the new plain black grill to get the insert in. Not sure what I'm going to do with my factory grill yet. Depends if I'm happy with the new one. Wish I had white mirrors and not chrome.

I actually have 3. The green one will be a built on road beast, the red one for offroad, and the newest 1998 supercharged manual will be kept as it is. Aka stock with the dealer supercharger only

    There is 0 logic here
