My lease was up in october
Really was hoping the 22 was out by now (that was my plan when I leased).

Took one look at the price of the 14's, then one look at the price of my buy out. No brainer. Bought mine out and will sell it around 23/24 to get the new gen.

I'm not doubting that the Sequoia has a torsion centre diff or that you could leave it in 4Hi 24/7. I'm just saying that because it also has a 2Hi mode, I would not call it a "full time 4wd system".
Sorry if I'm using the term incorrectly.

I will admit that it is probably the snazziest blue I’ve ever seen.

We just purchased a Yukon AT4 with the 5.3. They do not have the auto start/stop on them or the AFM anywhere on them and won't for the foreseeable future. GM has found that this is much more popular then having that junk on it and demand is actually up. I doubt you see that regardless of chip shortage in the near future. That crap doesn't make but .2-.5 pre gallon at best difference.

As for the lifters, yeah it is something to be concerned about. Supposedly they switched suppliers at end of July for push rods and lifters, and should be alleviated but only time will tell.

The 6.2 suggests Premium, but they run absolutely fine with 87 octane and do not knock or have any problems.

I've heard a lot of guys say this and just as many say it knocks even on 93, which was not widely available here until recently. :notsure:

Yeah I am not sure, you never know with these things. One truck will knock, another truck exactly the same will not. My father in law put 228k mikes on his 1500 Denali with 6.2 and not a single drop of premium in his. All highway miles to be fair and about 120 miles commute per day with zero issues.

Several at work with 15k to 379k miles on them and they all run regular unleaded with no problem. Those guys that have those trucks are really easy on them admittedly, so that may play big part in it.

He started having a bunch of glitches with it and it went to the shop several times. It was probably about 50 pages back at this point.

Oh ok, bummer. A shame what passes for quality these days, no matter what the logo is. It was probably the few pages I skipped around on, this thread was becoming very fluffy. Hope the '22 is what people are looking for. I currently like the way my 2.5 gen looks - want to pay it off, wrap the chrome on the front, take care of a few little dents, take it on many family trips and drive it with a big smile. Only 30k on the clock, I'll hopefully have it for some time.

The thing that I’ve come to learn about Ford—and you may disagree, that’s fine—is that their first priority is to having the best numbers on paper or being the first to release a new drivetrain. Building vehicles that actually perform at the numbers they claim or are dependable and not glitchy or are easy to work on and maintain yourself is WAY down the list.

I have my gripes with Toyota, but my truck is extremely dependable, an absolute joy to work on compared to the domestics I’ve owned, and it performs really well *beyond* Toyota’s ratings (I’m referring to the handful of times I’ve been over payload :anonymous:)

So I have to ask- will Toyota reveal the last 2 pics on their website in the next two days? Or are we really going to see a full show reveal before that site gets updated again ?

Wouldn't be surprised if they leak something in the next couple days to up the "excitement" for the reveal, but I also wouldn't be surprised if we just have to wait till the reveal.

    A bunch
Watched the TFL guys do a preview video, it was quite obvious they know a lot, if not everything already; and they were extremely giddy about it.

Now were they giddy about all the views they're hoping to get on Sunday and Monday, or because of the actual specs?

A couple of other channels that were invited to the press reveal a week or 2 ago (Can't remember what it was called) all seem to be saying that the viewers are going to be very impressed with it. Hopefully they are not just trying to get people hyped up just for the views.

Probably giddy about a real truck they can test after all of the fake ass CUVs they've been testing that can't even get up a dirt road

I’m really expecting or hoping the videos of the truck with more angles will make it look a lot better then that new pic.

Just goes to show, looks are subjective to each person. I suspect most will like it, there's always a vocal minority on forums of people who always hate on the new look and then it grows on them. I love the look of the new Tundra. Most of the shots have been TRD Pros though, I'm more interested in Limited/Plat trims.

Same here. Either way, I'm getting one. Been anticipating the new release for years, and I'm super pumped that it's almost here. I sold my truck a few weeks back, and I'm sharing a vehicle with my wife. It's just a matter of how soon I can get one.

Are the fender guards/flares composite of some sort? Interesting texture/pattern. Kind of reminds me of forged carbon fiber.

They have some kind of camo pattern to them, looks like the TRD pro has this on several surfaces, including in the seats.

I think it would look really good in dark blue or dark gray personally... but then again those are the colors I get all my vehicles in.

Mirrors seem small. So much for the power folding tow mirrors.
