I installed my ESP Long Box today. Now my double seat won't lock in the down position. Have any of you experienced this before? Wondering what the fix is.

Sounds like the box is sitting too high? Was the carpet flat when put the box in? Double check that the seat rails are fit in under the lip correctly?

I had to give mine a little extra pressure the first time but after it latched in once it was fine.

Have you contacted ESP? To my understanding, their customer service is pretty decent and you should get a response pretty quick.

Unsure about ESP, but I know with other issues I've had and tried calling companies. I've had more issues due to covid, seems lines are not monitored or forwarded well. I tend to have better luck with email.

Hope you get it resolved

Carpet is flat and the rails are sitting in their spots correctly. What's odd is the single seat locks in the down position. I feel like I read somewhere that someone had to shim their seats to get them to lock in the down position.

I remember now, it was @RainMan_PNW build thread. He had to shim the DS front for the same issue.

Check the build link in my signature.
Yep. A couple of washers under that front seat post to give it just a little height.
It’s still working great - I use that side of the box at least once a week to get ratchet straps or bungees out.
