3QTR ‘21 Production Delays?

Got the error! Looks like its being built!

 

mine is still showing up

Supposed to be at the dealer by 9/25!

I had a hard time finding one but my dealer said that a 1794 with the TRD package, Magnetic Gray Metallic was shipping from Texas on 9/3 so I put a deposit on it. Same as the 2014 I had and sold it like an idiot a couple of years ago. Arrival is 9/20 to 9/27. I hope so.

 

ya I called lots of dealers across the country for a TRD pro. Several had them on the website but all had deposits on them.

Isn't it nice to interpret an error as something positive? We got the same message early in the morning the day after our scheduled build date quickly followed by a text from the dealers with a picture of their screen showing it was in the hands of the RR and due at the dealership.....TODAY! Well, from the 13th to the 20th. My build date was 8/27.

 

Many dealers websites are way out of date. Frustrated the hell out of me when looking for my Tundra.

 

Ya I called prob 20ish dealers across the US that showed TRD pros on their website, all had deposits on them.

A few dealers told me that they expect several to drop out of there deposits after the 2022 drops but I didn't want to gamble.

 

Got the shipping notification today. Should be here in about 3 weeks.

 

ahh so its 3 weeks after build. Thats good reference for me once I see my VIN disappear.

 

Yeah I've heard anywhere from 2-4 weeks. But my dealer gave me a date range this morning.

 

I wonder if we are getting some of the last few TRD pros coming of the line!

 

If not, I’d imagine they’re close to it!

 

I picked up my 21 yesterday. The guy at my dealership was telling me that Toyota pulled a bunch of trucks they’d already allocated because of chip shortage production issues. IE- Toyota pulled allocations for trucks that’s were already sold or reserved at dealerships.

 

Yup. The one I bought from had some pulled. A member on here had one of his LR reservations canceled.

 

man Ill be pissed/sad/depressed if mine gets pulled.

 

When is yours supposed to be built? Is it a PRO?

 

black TDR pro. They told me delivery by the end of the month but its still showing up on that spec website

 

my dealer said my Limited DC is on the way. i can't wait!

 

Got this from my dealer yesterday. At least it's off the train and on a truck.

 

Dealer is still telling me about 15 days out but it still hasn't been produced.

not sure how many of the port options are done already, and or what the dealer will have to do when they receive it, either way I’m hoping Monday/Tuesday of next week to take delivery.

2021 LR CM PRO

 

Picked mine up at the dealer today, was delivered on September 8...build date August 9 or at least that week. Off for frame undercoat and liquid glass, then next week shell that was on 2017 Tundra - color matched. Tires and window rain guards week of 20th. More to follow...maybe do a build thread during the throes of winter in MT.

 

Dealer website now says "in transit"! The VIN still shows up on this website though: https://www.toyota.com/owners/my-vehicle/vehicle-specification

 

Does your VIN have a letter in the last 6 digits?

 

Dealer told me production date of 9/14. Was getting worried, because vin lookup was still returning info yesterday. Just got the error today, getting excited!

On a side note, if this truck goes through I have a second deposit on another Lunar Rock TRD Pro double cab at a Maryland dealer if anyone is looking. Dealer says MSRP and gave me an out the door price that lines up. Didn't give an exact production date but estimated late Oct - Nov delivery.

Along with the omission of the alpha character in the last six VIN places, my post built VIN wasn't even close. The last 9 places were different. ​
