It’s a sad day

After searching over the past year, my tundra dreams have been put on hold for quite some time. We made the decision to get a minivan instead. Last night we brought home a 2015 honda odyssey. Love the room and convenience but a part of me died last night, maybe for the best. It suits my family needs better for now hauling two kids around. The hope of a tundra is not dead, but it is just gonna have to wait a while longer.

We had a Sienna for 10y....mini vans are fantastic for kids and family life.

 

Feel free to live vicariously through the site! It may be better timing for you anyway regarding the NEW Tundra arriving and the NEW EV TUNDRA on the horizon!

I suffered through the minivan years…came out unscathed and back into a truck…stay positive, there’s light at the end of the tunnel!

 

My brother got an Odyssey a few years back. He's a long time Honda guy but I was surprised how much he likes it.

My Wife said she'd never drive a Minivan but chose an Element instead. When seeing her new Element for the first time my Dad said, " It's just like a Minivan." She wasn't amused but I sure was.

 

We went with a Yukon when our kids were younger bc I told my wife I’d never sign off on a minivan.

 

As an element owner I'm almost offended.

The guy I bought it from said its like a baby H3 Hummer, I can't agree except maybe the styling.

 

But really a three row SUV is just a minivan in disguise.

I feel ya man. I carry around too much steel and sex appeal that I had to ditch my tundra for a Sequoia since we have a 4th on the way early next year. Wife has a 2019 odyssey. It's great and the magic slide seats are awesome! Great vehicle for family life (as is the sequoia ).
Don't worry man....you'll get a tundra one day

 

Nothing wrong with getting what the family needs.....now go and rock that swaggerwagon!

Traded in our Odyssey for the Tundra. Hard to beat power sliding doors when the the kids were young and you are carrying car seats and other stuff. Also a great vehicle for hauling stuff when you pull the second row out, amazing how much room there is!

Well then, it's a perfect time to start stashing a little cash away here and there so when you do get your Tundra you will have mod money..

I know right. Kids are grown up enough, this would be the only mininvan I would drive (until I get so old I need to put the walker within reaching distance).

 

Don’t lose hope. MOD it.

 

I'm trying to talk my wife into a wagon or at least a hatchback for her next car so we don't have to take the truck every time we're carrying more than a box of stamps.

No minivans, though.
