Not at all, I'll throw the links up. So far I'm very impressed with it, constuction feels good (althought I wish they had permanent mount screw holes on back like some of the other makers). The interface is very good, easy to use. It's got a whole load of options. I went with this one because it had an independent front cam and my research on it turned up mostly positives.

Amazon.com: PORMIDO 12” Mirror Dash Cam with Detached Front Camera,Anti Glare Full Touch Split Screen HD 1296P,Car Backup Rear View Mirror Camera Dual Lens Sony,Super Night Vision,Parking Assistance : Electronics They also have a 3 cam version (+1 interior cam)

I also added this because it looked goofy strapped to my oem homelink mirror:
Amazon.com: Rear View Mirror Back Plate Panel + Mirror Dash Cam Mount Arm for Car DVR Instead of Strap : Automotive

Or were you asking about the radio headunit? Post was about the dashcam but I just noticed you asked about headunit.

I appreciate the details on the camera setup as well but I was indeed referring to the radio.

Hah, np. Its a Chinesium headunit. I can talk for hours about these, but basically it comes down to Dasaita, Joying and about 20 other CHN manufacturers are all making/copying the same radio with minor differences in hardware/software. The one you see is one of the cheapest (150$) and an experiment to see just how cheap you could get one of these China headunits and still have similar function to far more expensive units. That particular headunit is a Navitree 9" 2gb ram/32gb nvram. Dasaitas and Joyings are 4gb/64gb and there are up to 6gb/128 gb units available. But as I proved to myself, 2/32 is more than adequate. But like I said, there are minor hard/software differences between the manufacturers.

    Pros of this particular unit:
    -Cheap as f%^$
-Navigation works great (google maps, offline mode, maps stored in onboard memory). Can use other map apps, but most require internet.
    -Android apps/functionality works fine
    -Wifi works ok
    -USB connectivity/external drives work good
-Touchscreen, tail/rev camera display works fine
    -BT to phone works ok
-mp3 player and I think its a 6 band DSP work good

    Cons:
-Canbus decoder to make headunit compatible with my godforsaken oem jbl system is wonky (seems to be common to most of the CHN manufacturers, even the Phoenix tesla screen I had for a short bit had similar issues) Could probably be fixed using a Maestro (but $$)
-BT to other BT devices is wonky (still fiddling with connecting to my BT OBD reader)
-Some FM band signal loss (could be just my unit, or this particular manufacturers design:notsure:)
-No SIM card port (some other makers have this option if you want to set up cellular internet)

So, overall, if you live in an area with good FM signal, don't have Toyota's cursed JBL system, and are fine with using your cellphone or home router for wifi internet... this unit is a hell of a deal :p

I do like the sound of hell of a deal and I can tell you I’m tired as hell trying to make a decision.

My truck luckily does not have the JBL system. It does have the rear camera in the rear view mirror so I am fine not having it on the head unit. I would like to retain the steering wheel controls. Wireless Apple CarPlay would be great but I don’t think it’s gonna be possible at this price point. Also I dig being able to read tire pressures from head unit but again tough with the “budget” friendly radios.

Sounds like you’ve been though the gambit as far as these go. Is there one that really stands out?

Wire brush ( w/ drill) and rustoleum. All new gaskets as well, when I first put the Dirty Deeds exhaust on I reused the old ones. They were terrible. Took care of the rust before I drive up to Maine.

@PayItOff428 …my truck is a RCSB. The young man worked non-stop for 12 hours and 15 minutes (exterior only). He invoiced me $600 and I tipped him a $100. I have a friend in another town who had similar work done but on a DC model. He paid $1000. Looks better than a new paint job, in my opinion.

Started the R&R of the idler pulley, belt tensioner and water pump....
It started with me saying tomyself, "I like the way this is layed out. Ought to go easy!", and ended with "boy, do I miss the old inline sixes!!".
It'll all go back togeather Friday.
I'd not seen a "Radiator Fan Clutch Bearing Braket" before...It seems like it will need to replaced down the road a bit as it has a bit o play in it.

I'm still trying to learn what's good and what is not. I'd love to play with a Dasaita or Joying, but I'm not spending 500+ on an experiment, I just hope that for the added cost, those makers have streamlined the things I describe as "wonky" a bit more. There definitely seems to be more forum/internet based support for those 2 makers, but you're paying for it. Sounds to me like your interested in a more "friendly" option :D I'll pm you and see if we can't figure something out.

Can you take a side shot of how far the tires stick out with the wheel spacers? I’m debating on installing them with my factory wheels as well

Stopped by Hendrick Toyota in North Chas for rotation/oil. Did 175,000mile fuel maintence/replaced a dry rotted hose. They always get BWT straight before I hit the road.

3" OME lift w/ UCAs. ARE overland shell w/ ARE roof rack. 34" Falken Wildpeaks. ARB awning. Road shower. Wilco Offroad Hitchgate Solo High Clearance. LED lighting upgrades. Lockerdown console safe. Weathertech floormats. Duluth deluxe rear seat cover to go under the offroad approved car seats.... :P
Did some completely unscientific mockups of my planned RTT set up, Victory rack was ordered yesterday. Deciding between the iKamper Skycamp 2.0 and the Roofnest Condor XL. Leaning towards the iKamper, next time REI has a 20% coupon... almost exclusively because I can pick it up at the store, and they will lift it onto the truck...lol. As opposed to UPS dropping the Roofnest at my house, and my wife saying, WTF is this in the driveway, and then making me sleep on the couch after I ask her to help install it... Hopefully it sits a little higher than this, or I'm going to have to lower my awning mounts a few inches...

20% off is big. I am a fan of my Roofnest sparrow eye. I have spoken to people with the ikamper, you can’t keep sleeping bags/pillows/blankets inside when folding up. Not sure about the Roofnest. But 20% off is hard to beat. Build quality wise, both are nice tents. Having that hard shell to block wind is a game changer

Cost wise they are about the same with a coupon. Both look really nice. Roofnest is slightly shorter, so wouldn't hang off the front as much. Talked to someone at Roofnest, and they recommended switching out the mattress to an Exped inflatable, then there is room for sleeping bags, etc. inside the shell, would assume this would hold true for the iKamper too. Also really like the solar mounting points on the Roofnest. Next 20% off sale at REI is probably Christmas time, so I have time to do some research...
