@eccracer104 I suggested blowing the dust off Chili Town over on TW. I know we (TW) were out there in August for the meteors one year and it wasn't too awful hot. Just throwing out an alternative.

I haven’t been out there in a long time! I know a certain special “asshole” blocked the main path with a rock to block those OC overland assholes after they littered up the place. I know there’s a route to it, but idk what it is yet since I haven’t been back.

    You know it!

    It’s on BLM land.
Also, no idea, I haven’t been out there haha.
But there is an alternative route. And it leads to a flat level area large enough to hold over 100 trucks (because we’ve had around 80 trucks there with room to spare).

I’m guessing @blktruck will reach out to the camp hosts about the possibility of any last minute miracles

    BUT

I’d not expect any. “Our” weekend would have been the last of the season before SanG closes for the winter. So, for any bureaucrat whose decision this is, closing for a month to mitigate the risk of fire you don’t have resources to fight, then re-creating all that risk for one week of rewarding consumers, doesn’t make sense.

@Rica25 I think your RV rental guy is just trying to keep his business deal alive.

I actually have reservations there this weekend in lieu of my trip that got refunded two weeks ago. It's a bit pricey, but never camped there before.

It’s such a shame. This trip is always such a blast! Great wheeling, great people, great everything! So much fun! Man I miss it.

Was really excited to get a new pic with the Tundra instead of my Tacoma.
