I'm trying to determine why the LED lights in my climate control panel don't work. When I pulled the panel, I noticed this wire (circled in pic below). There's no place I can see to connect it. Anyone know what this wire is for?

Might be the wire for the glass breakage sensor.

Our trucks have a lot of pre-wiring depending on your trim level.

Thanks for the responses, all. Since it doesn't appear related to the climate control LED issue I'll just leave that wire alone.

It could be a mic for hands free kit. If you are not the first owner, previously installed. Or like everyone said a glass break sensor if equipped with aftermarket security system. ( someone is listening on your convo, highly classified ) just saying.

The mic in that pic is from an aftermarket head unit upgrade. I'd love to ditch that ugly mic and use the built in ones for the aftermarket HU but I couldn't figure out which wire to splice into.

Yup. I’ve install one on my folks H2 and it looked like a pioneer mic. If you go directly to the fac mic you should be able to solder the aftermarket ones. It should be a 2 wire hook up or 3 the most. Good luck.
