    Evening everyone,

I recently purchased the DD system and did the TB bypass. Before the bypass I was coming off the line with no problem. The truck wouldn’t hesitate one bit. Ever since the bypass my truck will hesitate between 30mpg and 40mph as soon as I cross that it’ll give ALL the power at once. I don’t have larger tires I’m running stock size with Goodyear AT tires. Can anyone give me some advice. Would maybe disconnecting the battery work?

Only intake mod is the aFe Dry filter but like mentioned before I felt this after doing the TB bypass and disconnecting the battery while I worked on the mod.

more than I can list here
It’s either the truck adapting after disconnecting the battery. Or something else got disconnected like a vacuum line.

Thank you Keith I’ll double check the lines around the intake system and continue to drive it around till things settle down

I did this mod like an little over a month and a half I would say and tell you the truth I did not disconnect the battery and at the same time doing this mod I removed the throttle body and cleaned it. I haven't had anything pop up or any issues pertaining to this. IDK though this is just my experience I thought I'd pass on...

So thankfully the slight hesitation has slowly but surely gotten better. I’m thinking I’m just going to need a new oil change on the engine, transmission and maybe new spark plugs. Since the disconnection and the bypass my car has been dying on MPG it went from 14.3 to 13.9 and the hesitation issue is not too bad but it could be a sign to do a slight tune up under the hood. Thank you for letting me know about your process I’ll keep mine in check

Mine is dying on MPG too because my foot is too heavy lol... hopefully it works out and I just did my diff and transfer case service about two weeks ago! A simple DIY for sure!

Ive got a 2WD so I think it’ll be simpler for me just the rear diff but how does your truck feel after the service? I’m thinking of doing that too I’m at about 155k and definitely want to keep it for another 150k I’m thinking is about time I just putting it off lol
