These "rock sliders" were for sale locally. Seller does not have a make or model. He says hes are required but doesnt have install instructions.

The two mounting points look nothing like what others available for purchase look like.

    Can anyone ID this "slider"?

2 mounting points, and what looks like some thin small pieces of square tubing to begin with will not do much other then being ok steps, and even though suspect only how much they can hold.

    Their web site is great:
    "Shopping for rock sliders?
Question 1... do you want cheap sliders which are for show, OR ones that will last, and protect? Yes!"

I normally dont get too into personal opinions on manufacturers, unless I feel that they may entirely misleading or false claims about their product. So, there was this:

    rr.jpg

They made the claim, at least through their customer, but did not make any effort to downplay the claim, that their sliders would protect you from a front overlap impact.

Then they themselves make claims, unsubstantiated, that first responders said people were saved by their "sliders".

I quick youtube search on these show that they mount to the body, using rivnuts that you have to drill holes for. Basically you can see the slider wasnt impacted by the wheel in the above accident, yet if it was and the sliders were forced backwards those rivnuts would have torn right out of the sheet they were in.

End rant, good luck to anyone who runs them and actually believes they will hold up to the typical abuse people put sliders through.
