So I purchased the camburg 1.00 uniball uca's and had an issue with the sleeves being a little long in my opinion. I called camburg, they said take pics n I did. I did that 3 times and sent it over their way. No response... except for one guy telling me from there that it's not supposed to have a gap. Little patience I have for emails I said screw it and cut 2 mm off. Now they fit better. Has anyone had this issue with camburg?20170717_123342.jpg 20170717_123342.jpg 20170717_123342.jpg 20170717_123342.jpg 20170717_123342.jpg 20170717_123342.jpg 20170717_123342.jpg 20170717_123342.jpg

I really like the product I just felt like I couldn't find the answers I was looking for. I don't mean to sound like I'm complaining but not having a mechanical background I try to do what I can and at a budget.

Camburg is always busy and they take some time to reply. They will eventually reply.

Do you have a picture of them installed from further out a little bit to get a better overall View?

Thanks for the advise guys. No I don't have other pics right now and sleeves I mean the metal sleeve inside the bushings. Carlos, thanks for the help letting me know they were not fitting right. I shaved them a little. I couldn't wait bro it is my daily driver n had to get it working right. I have no regrets on the purchase.

For those curious about the metal sleeves the OP is referring to see the attached picture. Said item is gold

Yes that's the first pics I took of installment before I shaved sleeves to fit flush with bushings. Why do you see something i didn't do or need to?

Yeah, your flux capacitor is installed wrong. And your warp drive is missing.

Damn I'm feeling really dumb for asking. Please tell me those are from back to the future and not real parts. I figured this was a forum I could come to without being ridiculed.

Yes, from back to the future. But I believe he was more joking than trying to ridicule you. So please don't take it personal.

It is. Don't take offense. It's just comedy, which you'll find a lot of here.

Keep asking your questions and looking for responses. The right people will speak up when they see your thread. Sorry I can't help, I'm not very verse in suspension products.

@Carlos@Camburg is your guy if he sees that you have questions about their products. Even if he doesn't then there are numerous others that will chime in when they see it.

Don't be deterred by a turd for teasing, it's all fun and games

Tried to make it sound as out of place as possible. Part of my "humor". Wife calls it jack-ass-er-y.

Well since we are over that ordeal I have other issues with my truck but I need to take pics later to show my problems. Maybe I can get some help. I'll check back in later.✌

Jack-ass-ery is an art, perfected to the T by those of us that love to hear it, give it, and giggle at it! Well played homie!

Sometimes I have to watch what I say or I get out of hand when I tease newbies that probably know more than me

    Yeah....yeah that happens.

Keep us updated on those issues. Sometimes it's something stupid easy to take care of. Others...sometimes not.

VLED brake/tail light bulbs. VLED third brake light and cargo lights.
I installed my Camburg x-joint upper control arms yesterday, and aligned the truck myself today. The ball joints on these are about three inches further back (toward rear of truck) than the OEM arms. The radical differences in these arms caused serious negative camber (maybe 20°). There was no way I could drive it to an alignment shop, so I did it myself. I rotated all alignment tabs to bring the lower control arm inward. It took about four attempts to get it right. Drawing the lower control ams in actually raised the truck about one inch. Yay, I needed to do that to get the Kings into their sweet spot. Then the toe was so far out that I could not drive it at all. Busting the locking nuts loose was a bear, but I was able to get them loose and adjusted both sides to achieve about 0° toe. It drives great. I’ll take it to an alignment shop for fine tuning.
So, there are no issues with these new control arms if you’re a little patient and take your time to align the truck. Now I can open the shocks and remove the travel limiting spacers that prevent excessive droop with stock upper control arms.

Hey when you get around to opening up your kings and removing the spacers, if you haven’t already done so, it’d be cool if you snapped a few pics and did a lil write up on it. Haven’t seen one yet and I need to do the same. TIA if you do.

Good idea. I couldn’t find one video on disassembling one of these coil overs.

I have the same setup and run full soft all the time. Only time I've ever turned the knob was when towing a heavy load. Softest feels best in my opinion and need to hit a bump off-road pretty well (relatively) to blow through the travel. But just move the clicker and see what you like.
