Mine does the same...it's literally the only 'issue' I have with my truck. But honestly...it's not a big deal.

    1. Yeah, occasionally annoying, but even when it DOES do it, it reboots itself and resumes whatever it was doing in < 30 seconds.
    2. At least it FIXES itself. My '13 F150 required you to PULL THE FUSE to fix it...until they built in a master reset. But even then...it was software driven - e.g., couldn't just hold the volume button like you can with the Tundra. And to navigate to it, it had to sort of....not be frozen.

This just sounds like frequency bias (Baader–Meinhof). Sounds like since you're receiving a '21, you're being sensitive to any and all issues reported for your model year.

Just like with any new vehicle purchase, drive it, be cognizant of anything unusual, and know you're at least covered under warranty.

At 2 months I had to replace the radio.

But that's because it sucks, it still worked, but it sucks.

The only complaint I have after 4 months and 4K miles is that the front seats are uncomfortable...long drives are rough on the back. I do wish the Navigation system was more "smart" like Waze where it would automatically recommend alternate routes that are faster/less congested and show you the locations where the highway patrol was lurking. The interface is a bit cumbersome tooo...minor complaint.

I haven't experienced any of the reliability issues stated in this thread. I was concerned about that noisy "clunk" I hear when I start out for a drive and hit about 5mph, but it's just ABS brakes checkin' in.

I trust Toyota trucks completely. I bought a 2008 Tacoma new and put 225K miles on it. That truck literally only need gas, oil and tires for most of its life. 1 or 2 minor recalls and that was it. I finally put new stocks on at about 175K miles. Bulletproof reliability. I kept it when I bought the Tundra and I would still drive that truck anywhere without worrying about leaving me stranded. Before that I had one of those Toyota mini trucks from 1994..that truck was as tough as a John Deere. I'm banking on my '21 Tundra to do the same job as the other Toyotas I've owned.

I do have a Ford F-250 which is awesome, but it was made in 1966 when Ford truck quality, durability and simplicity was at a premium.

How tall are you? Do they make you stay in your seat for more support? My tundra pro seats don’t fit me as good as my 4runner Pro seats.

That's usually the cable itself or the port on your device. Try a new Apple (or other OEM) cable and it'll probably resolve.

I am 6ft and 230lbs, the additional inch in the front of the seat helps alot, it makes it feel more like bucket seats and it raises my thighs up which helped with the lower back strain over long trips. The actual size of the seats is fine for me, it was mainly the flat angle of the bottom of the seats that were my issue.

Thank you for the info. My issue it seems like I don’t fit into the seat really well. That’s why I was possibly doing seat covers to keep me planted more. I’m only 5’6 around 165lbs.

So your issue is you move around or dont stay in place while sitting and driving? If you find yourself constantly repositioning yourself further back into the seat, you may be having the same seat angle issue i was, for which, i think the seat jackers would help with.

I would rather go with these and try and not put seat covers on my Pro seats. But you are correct the issue I feel like what’s going on. So they just go on the back mounts correct. I looked at the link where to buy them.

No, they go on the front brackets toward the pedals. You will have to loosen the rear brackets to be able to elevate in order to install though.

They make front and rear seat jackers. I tried both of them and used every combination of the set. Didn't help for me. YMMV.

2500 miles on my ‘21 and no issues yet. It’s been used primarily for towing our 7,000lb travel trailer. Rock solid as all my other Tundras have been.

2021 with 5100KM. Got the air conditioning grind as well. Will get it looked at when I take it in as I have a Squeak that sounds like its behind the dash on the drivers side and driving me crazy! Other then that has mostly towed my 8k trailer with ease.

I've had my 2021 for 9 months. I have 7,000 miles on it. I love it. The only issue that I have yet to figure out is the leather seats squeak in the back and I can't get them to stop.

I don't understand all the people upset about the seats. For me, they are very supportive, far better than the 2020 AT4 I just traded. I'm 5'9", 145, and try to stay fit. In my 20 years in the military, I sat cramped I'm many a bad seat (by air and ground), and what helped the most was being physically fit, and staying as loose as you can (given logistical constraints).

If you folks are around average height, why not invest in some Hello Dollys, flutter kicks, and other ground work targeting your core... before you buy seat covers and/or lifters? You drive/ride more comfortably, and as an added bonus, you protect your body even more in the throws of a pandemic.

Never been a better time to get healthy, and it might even save you $$$ on your vehicle!

New owners to the brand finding any and everything to bitch about on the internet in my opinion.

You think it’s bad on this side of the fence - wander over to the Ram and Ford forums.

No trouble with my 2021 Pro - radio was decent but I upgraded speakers/amp anyway. Otherwise no complaints from the factory.

Only “issue” I had is the adhesive with BedRug gate cover not sticking - but they sent a new set of stickers and it’s fine now.

Toyota/Subaru uses the cable mechanism for lumber support, that doesn't allow very soft cushion and cannot go up and down, where as others often use air pocket or a thread like mechanism to adjust, older toyota seats are just not very good in terms of long distance driving.

They have been working update the seats with better designs, camry for example is with the newer design that's lot more comfortable.

And I think I'm reasonably fit, the seat risers allow better thigh support on long drives.
