The strangest thing happened this morning as I was heading home from Costco with my family. As I was about to turn right to enter my neighborhood a lifted black Dodge Rebel pulls up from behind me, speeds into the middle lane to turn left, and then honks 3 times as im about to turn right and when I finally look over he gives me 2 thumbs up and yells out his window that I have a bad ass truck. What's funny is my wife reacted more excited than I did since we are not used to getting compliments for any of our cars.

The fact it was from a Dodge Ram Rebel owner made me feel like it was the ultimate compliment. Haha just had to share this moment. Cheers everyone!

Aftermarket halo headlights with HID, various LED bulb replacements. 17" Fuel Blitz wheels with some 33" Nitto terra grapplers. Hoodscoop, nfab nerfbars, Bushwacker flares. No-name aftermarket grille, led fender extensions. Black Horse bambi-basher. Various offroad lights.
He was in a good mood, his Dodge Ram Fiat Stellantis Rebel got through another service period without needing a new transmission.

That's awesome man! Kinda crazy how a stranger complimenting your rig can make your day, right?

When I first got mine, my wife’s friend saw me in it and said “I love your truck! It’s perfect!”
    Pretty sure she wanted it

The big thing I've had people stop me for has been the color. When she's all cleaned up it just stands out because no other manufacturer uses anything similar. Over the last two years of ownership I've had about a dozen strangers stop me to ask about the color and comment on it. A few will comment on the truck overall, or the wheels, or sliders, but every single one of them goes gaga for the Cavalry Blue.

When it comes to 3rd gens, for me it’s hard to pick a second favorite color. So many good ones.

I roll with black but I always have a sweet spot for Calvary Blue or Cement. Beautiful colors!!!

Agreed that some colors on cars and trucks certainly get more looks than others.

I have a classic Mopar with a high impact color and almost every time I take it out I get a compliment.

The only color I don't like much is the red. Though earlier today I was driving the same direction as one with the exact same model, trim and packages as mine in red and looked better than I thought. Lost interest in the black due to continual need for upkeep but still like how it looks.

Different strokes I guess, because it was between Cavalry Blue and Barcelona Red for me. Cement would have been in the mix too, but there weren't any close when I was buying.

That's what's great about freedom of choice, it's about what you like is all that matters.

Sorry, @RoniusMaximus, didn't mean to derail your thread like that!

I think the biggest compliments are when they come from somebody with a badass vehicle themselves, like what you got. Any compliment feels nice, but it's special when somebody with something awesome thinks yours is awesome too.

Had a similar experience in my 2017 WRX. I was driving up Parley's Canyon on I-80, and I saw a beautiful yellow 1968 Charger coming up in the far left lane. As he came up beside me (fast) I dropped a gear and romped it to hold even so I could give him a thumbs up out my window. He kinda snapped over when I held with him, he looked my car over and with a big ol' grin he gave a nod and returned the gesture. For a WRX to get acknowledgement from this

It was a mood booster for sure.

Sad state of affairs when random complements are a special event. I try to give out complements here and there and people’s reactions are mixed. Glad you guys had a positive reaction.

We went to a big FEMA station for our vax’s. It was located at a fairground since they expected a huge turnout and the lanes for vehicles was over a mile long (weaved all around the grounds). There were 5-6 queue stations along the way and I got 5 complements on our first trip. Drive the wife nuts. Now it’s a running joke…like someone complimented my baby.

When Raptors first came out I got a lot of nods and thumbs up from raptor owners. It is nice to get some appreciation from "the other team" so to speak.
