My truck has been misfiring, changed plugs, coil packs( after I just got a tune up). Installed a new MAF, was still going into limp mode at 50mph. Got it home disconnected the battery, and now it won't start.

Test fuel pressure or change fuel filter (not sure what model year you have).

At this moment it'll crank, it'll start, it'll die. It'll hesitate when I try to give it fuel. Brief history
I was going to get the 4wheel drive fixed, took it to Mostly Automotive, used to be Mostly Toyota, they said needs a tune up first gave it a tune up, said 4wheel couldn't be fixed. Drove it, my 4lo started flashing, check engine light, vsc came on. Took it back to the shop they swapped out the rails and checked it overcouldnt anything wrong got it back lights came on the same day. Once in a while engine light would flash and it would go into limp mode. Shut it off start it up, and it would be fine. Took it to O'REILLY said misfire in 8 changed it lights came back o n misfire in 2. Found a hole in the small pressure regulator hose, and fuel was coming out of the other side. Found a Crack in the quick connect fixed it. Lights came back on and engine got angry. Back to O'REILLY said mas misfire, and MAF, replaced that. That is where I'm at.

did you replace fuel pressure regulator with an oem unit?

Sounds like engine may still be flooded or you have an injector leaking by.

Sounds about right. Never had much luck with aftermarket MAFs.
Clear your codes and drive for a bit. 0300 is random misfire, 0430 is for cat. Both which can be set by a poorly running engine.

The fuel pressure regulator was flooding the engine. MAF was probably "lolwtf" inside ECU.

Likely the only issue was fuel pressure regulator.

    Good job.

Check the tightness on air intake connections.

Maybe you should invest in some tools instead of shotgunning parts at it.

Only in this world is replacing a part with something new a bad thing. Now I'll say this once, I roof, I'm not a mechanic, my trusted shop is no longer trust worthy. I took it there to have it fixed, and they could not figure it out.. ive been having it tested, and am fixing as the codes pop up. Please don't get smart, just like everyone else I'm looking for help to get it fixed.

Make sure the intake ducts aren't connected on either end with a folded lip.

Also make sure the MAF is pointing in right flow direction from air filter to engine.

Lastly I'd say it sounds like you might be at point of suspecting fuel pump. If it runs decent up to 50 mph its like its running out of fuel to support the power.

I'd see if you can get a fuel pressure test done on it.

Do you buy at least a basic code reader yet?

Here is a link to factory service manual. You can search it by the DTC codes. You want to look under the section for the 3UR engine which is the 5.7 liter.

But if you want to keep shooting into the dark, I think one or more of the catalyic converters are plugged.
