My passenger Trd Pro fog light keeps pushing into the bumper. I’m not running into things. Wtf is going on? It sure seems to snap in securely but two or three days Later it’s pushed into the bumper again.

Mine does the same thing. I think it’s pretty common. They just don’t stay snapped in for some reason. @Patch999 posted a fix somewhere that I haven’t gotten around to doing myself.

Yep. Every now and then I’ll push mine back in place, but it doesn’t stay there more than a few days. I couldn’t find his post with the fix. He used some clips he ordered.

Why don't they have a retaining screw like the other models?

I'll dig around and see if I can find the pictures I took when I fixed mine. I did replace some clips but still cinched them down with zip ties. Just make sure you test them before putting everything back together. I had one that looked like this when I finished.

Just this weekend I replaced my halogen fog lights that came in my 15 Pro. I put in a set of Diode Dynamics lights. Anyway. I had to use a couple large zip ties to keep the wobble out and the housing tight. Not too difficult, but I agree, there could be a way better design!

Had the same problem. Mine didnt push into the bumper but they bounced around while driving which you could plainly see on the road surface. I think there was a posting on here about it. Solution was to get underneath and secure them with a couple of zip ties.

I just sunk some self taping stews through the light surround into the bumper, skookum as frig now. Kidding folks I’m so frustrated with it at this point I’m just gonna zap strap it and call it done.

thank you for the info posted though.

TRD Air Filters, Front door windows tinted to match the rears. Wheel locks, Talons Garage cat shield, Tyger Automotive soft tonneau cover, WeatherTech floor mats with Tuff Skinz Custom Emblem kit, Toyota OEM Emblem Black Out kit. AVS vent covers on all four doors, Red Tundra letters on front bumper & TRD highlighted in Red on front grille. Tailgate Tundra Letters in Black.
I bought some Diode Dynamics also I zip tied & added some hot glue.

My fog light trims eroded and Diode Dynamics sent me new trims but while switching out the lights I noticed that the hot glue had yellowed. This time I dabbed silicone at the metal tabs and ran a bead around them. Now they are snug and don’t move at all.

Yep, I also just ran a thin bead of silicone caulk around the perimeter and pushed it snug . Solid as a plastic bumper can be, lol

Shoe Goo is your forever friend, if you ever use it once you will wonder how you lived w/o it. I even glued broken wet concrete sprinkler ring w/ it . 1 day later could not break apart where fixed. 34ford

I just noticed how loose my fogs were going over a few bumps the other night. Zip ties worked great. This thread was awesome. Thanks everyone.

Edit: I did not cut the tails off my zip ties.

They may have been loose before I changed out my chrome end caps but I didn’t notice. Once I switched end caps to the plastic color matched, they really jumped around.

Installed DD ss3 pro maxes a few months ago. Did the zip ties, now I notice a shake/rattle sometimes that wasn’t there before .
