Remote start just stopped working. No chirp when I lock the doors, no lights flash. App won’t work either. Unlocking I get the chirp and lights flash. Thoughts?

list info on your truck, year, engine, trim, miles, how long you have had it and any electric or lighting mods. Factory remote start or aftermarket?

And have you checked the battery in the remote?

I am not the best post starter..
2021 limited crew. 3 weeks old, 242 miles. Factory remote. All key fobs functions perfectly.
I have all the connect services fit a year.
I did unhook the battery pos/neg to start work on the audio system. The Toyota site is useless.

you worked on the audio system? Did the issue begin after the audio work? Good news is toyota should take care of it for you, new truck with warranty, unless they can determine it was related to any work or mods that you installed.

I did and the system isn't 100% put back together. I'm guessing (hoping) this is it.

I'm no detective, but Vegas odds are, you did this to yourself.

If it's any consolation, remote start sucks on the Tundra, so no real loss.

Yeah, thanks for highlighting my screw ups. My balls were lonely without that kick. It's my own fault, this friend of a friend was supposed to be a genius at car audio. Apparently only with vehicles designed in the 90's. I've gotten some very good advice on how to remedy my situation. Everything is going back to stock and I am starting over with the CORRECT hardware and guidance. I jacked it up so bad there a good chance if I can fix this I'm going to start a mod thread with pictures on my install to save future DIY morons such as myself a whole lot of hassle.

If it’s any consolation I fried my truck 2 days after bringing it home installing lights and my switch pros system. Toyota fixed all of it under warranty

Nope. I'm 50yo, I should know better than to try and save a few bucks on a $54K vehicle mod. I'm a retired FF, been a handyman for 30 years and I always tell people to do what you're confidante in but stop when you leave your comfort zone. My first clue should have been when the jackass ripped my weatherteck floor liners out instead of unlocking them. 2nd clue was when he fried my amp because of a crappy ground. 3rd was when he got on YouTube and could only find help for the non JBL system. Lessons learned, can only hope to salvage this without Toyota voiding my warranty..

    When you post this thread/OP:

    Without mentioning this:

It kinda feels like you left those nads out there, asking for a swift kick. Some people like that sort of thing... so my bad if I got ya in the feels.

You posting this thread without that essential cavaet baffles the mind. It's not a coincidence, it's causal. If me pointing to causality is upsetting, be more specific when you post multiple threads asking for the same thing.

Ok, disregard my empathy, and carry on being miserable.

Not miserable, just pissed at myself. Should have asked for advice before starting. Live and learn and accept help from others.

Again, your brutal honesty is comforting. This is the first forum I've truly relied on and I'm a little inept at starting posts. When you take a brand new vehicle and immediately do something wrong to it, some of us go into panic mode. The more helpful members reach out through messaging and steer you in the right direction, calming your frazzled nerves and offering very useful advice to try and reach a complete resolution to your self-induced problem.
I do appreciate your critique of my posting skills I think we can all agree that I am a moron way in over my head.

Who called you a moron other than you? All I did is take open source info and use it in a logical fashion to answer your question. You posted this thread like the remote start just 'all the sudden' went out, not that it went out 'after' you decided to get your feet wet in the car audio game.

Stop with the self depreciation and victimhood, suck it up, take your lumps, and feel great knowing that your opulent 1st world problems are nothing you should lose sleep over.

You know what, I agree. I'm retired, happy and willing to learn. I'm not quite sure what 1st world opulent problems are, is there a cream or suppository for this? I don't see myself as a victim, just a man who got in over his head. I appreciate your candor and relevant guidance in repairing my mistakes. Is there a way to delete my woeful, misguided posts and start anew in my questions?

Quick update, returned everything to stock and all issues have been resolved. Apparently these trucks have some kind of computer?? Kidding, I have a much greater understanding/respect for the electronics and what should be touched and what should be left the hell alone.
