In Sep2014, after selling my boat it was time to downsize from my Chebbie 2500HD Duramax boat hauler. I had a 2003 TRD Offroad 4x4 Tundra prior to the boat adventure, loved it, so began looking at 2014 Tundras.

After seeing the Sunset Bronze in the 2014 brochure, I had to find one. None of the local dealers had one as it was a Tundra only color. Looked at a few 1794s and loved the interior which as you know is unique to the 1794. So now I had to find a Sunset Bronze 1794, very rare bird. Finally located one in north LA (I'm in north San Diego county) and brought it home.

First up was an N-Fab wheel to wheel step bar (step 1 of the coming blackout program), then TRD dual exhaust.

Next was a color tint LineX bed liner.

Now it was time to work on the chromey front which I wasn't particularly fond of. I much preferred the Platinum colored grille surround/hood bulge look, an easy conversion...

While I was deciding what to do about the chomed bumper corners and silver valance, the 2015 TRD Pro truck debuted with the slick looking grille. The Pro doesn't come in Sunset Bronze, so I bought a Pro grille in black, then <carefully> swapped the color surrounds. I had the bumper corners dechromed and painted them Sunset Bronze myself, then added a black valance. Plasti-dipped the mirror inserts and 1794 emblems, added TRD Pro headlights and black door handles. Later added the TRD rear sway bar.

Final step in blackout program, set of Ballistic 20x9 black Wizards with Michelin 285/55R20 LTX AT2s, along with Bilstein 5100 leveling shocks at top setting. Minor clearance issue at extreme turn with corner bumper rear plastic.

Some interior mods, beginning with brushed steel vinyl overlays of bright silver radio surround and steering wheel trim. To be continued...

Nicely thoughout! How much were the TRDPro headlights? That item is on my list after the TRD duals.

That is a huge change in the look of the truck. Removing chrome and color matching and black make the truck look so much better.

Love that color wife didn't. I shouldn't have listened to her and got it.

I noticed your CA plate. What part of CA are you from? Can you hook me up with "the bumper corners dechromed and painted them Sunset Bronze myself"? I'm from Northern CA area. I have same color and style truck as yours (2016). I'm glad I have your custom setup as a visual guide. I was thinking and trying to imagine how a black TRD PRO grille would look like.
