I have a rough running 2001 4.7 throwing P0301 and P0308. I've been meaning to get coils anyway so hopefully I'm lucky and it solves the problem (plus save a few of the old ones as emergency backups).
I checked Mcgeorge's site and they have 2 separate part numbers listed:
    https://toyotaparts.mcgeorgetoyota....-limited--4-7l-v8-gas/ignition--ignition-coil

    $27 difference!

    $71.13
    https://toyotaparts.mcgeorgetoyota....yYSZ5PTIwMDEmdD1saW1pdGVkJmU9NC03bC12OC1nYXM=

    $98.69

    Amazon/ebay coils worry me...

What would my dear forum comrades do?

    $71 is for 04-06
    $98 is for 00-03.
    VVTI vs non VVTI Perhaps.
I think someone here was looking for coils recently and found a better deal than that and they were OEM as well.
Might want to wait for someone else to chime in.

ooops, I missed that. I assumed since I searched for 2001. Thanks for catching that. Unfortunately I have the '01 so $98 it is. Really hoping there's a lead for a better price

Order Denso 'aftemarket' coils for your truck. They are the OEM for Toyota but way cheaper.

you can buy Denso coils for half the price, they are the original makers of the coils 50$

side by side they are the same, just missing the Toyota stamp that looks shaves off.

buy them from Rockauto.com, avoid Amazon due to possible counterfeit product

I have an intermittent miss on my 4.0 (I know, I know)
I've been putting it off for longer than I care to admit. RockAuto is definitely gonna make me breathe easier........especially when I buy the full set.
