Does the Tech12 shut down your truck like the OEM remote start?

 

Negative.
Best auto start going IMO.

It only shuts down if you tap the brake before inserting key.
Which I believe is a safety/theft feature.

 

Adding to what @Hightide just said, this kit also works with newer “smart key” models, but it will shut off when you open the door in that situation. My wife wasn’t happy about that when I installed it on her Highlander.

I posted this in another thread and it didn’t get any visibility. Reposting here…

So I greased my Tundra drive shaft this weekend for the first time. All 5 zerks were painted black. This leaves me with a few questions…

1. Is that a factory thing that they were painted?
2. If so, is it a fair assumption that means they have never been greased on my truck?
3. Truck has 92,000 miles. If the drive shaft was never greased before, should I be concerned? I have not observed any problems…but I also don’t know what I would be looking for.

 

Considering the new ones have no grease zerks, you’re fine. I grease mine every 10-15k miles.

CQ.UK 3.0, and every 6 months or so I apply a "Reload" that came with the product. VERY easy to apply, just spray on, then wipe off.

Mostly outside but I park in the garage when my wife is out of town.
Our new house will have double "two-car" garages so I will keep it in the garage, but that's about a year out from now.

 

Yeah, here in SD (South Dakota) the first number(s) of the plate are the municipality issued. So where I live standard plates start with a 5. A lot of farmers don't like us "rich people" asking to hunt their lands so they will say "no" to people with a 5 license plate. This turned people to buying specialized "emblem plates" that start with W which helps mask where your vehicle is from.

 

Haven’t “done” it yet but oh boy am I excited about this one…

Replaced the LEDs in the cargo lamp that have been flickering since I bought it. Coat me like $6 and took about 2 minutes. SO happy it's done!

 

And I guess I finally purchased a leveling kit...tbd when that actually goes on though...

 

Added some LED strips to the awning (just waiting on dimmer to show up tomorrow) as well as some more to light up the tailgate area. Also rain testing the OVS awning as it’s been pouring most of the day … so far so good just some seams at the edges that need to be sealed. Somehow all of my camping trips this year have been dry!
