I tried to do a search but no luck.

my full tank mileage shows 300 and it use to show 330. I’ve changed a battery since then so I’ve removed the terminals and it didn’t reset.
Has this happened to anyone else?

My full tank after fill up shows 30 miles less than it use to. Can this be reset? If not, did I really lose 30 miles? Would a fuel cleaner help or is my tank only getting 300 miles now.

Truck has the standard tank 26? Not 38 gal

The truck "learns" to estimate range based on your diving and fuel use. And yes, remove the battery cable for about 20-30 minutes and it may reset and begin "learning" all over. When you do the truck will probably estimate range higher/longer than before, and it will gradually drop back to what the truck thinks the range is based on how YOU drive.

Sounds like you're getting less mpg than you used to

    Alot of them
If you changed wheels and tires, that will throw it off too. Everything that the truck shows is just an estimate based on driving patterns.

Whatever this forum told me to do

you should see how it changes when you put 6lbs of forced induction on it! not pretty.

I shall call my truck the Valdeez.

    +2 to this.

I would argue that estimated range on these trucks is pretty much worthless if you have any fluctuations in your driving. Maybe if you drive the same roads back and forth every day without change, it may be somewhat accurate.
That said, it takes so long to calibrate that it just doesn’t keep up.

I don’t think mine has ever been accurate within 50 miles since I purchased my Tundra.

You should see how it changes when you are towing 30' trailer and a 4 seater SxS.:rofl::rofl:
