When I saw the first image I had a pretty good idea of the area you were in since that terrain is unique in its features. I rode the Street Glide on a 1,000 mile trip this past April and returned home on part of the old Route 66 in Needles before hitting the 95 south. That same terrain in your image extends eastward where I rode. Beautiful and desolate. And it was 95* out that way that day. I actually couldn't wait to get back to the Phx area where it was cooler. Haha!

That whole area is majestic, so much to explore and see. It's quiet and there's no light pollution at night. You see the transition from the Mojave high desert to the Colorado low desert in not only the flora, but the temperatures as well. It was closer to 90 degrees at the north end of the park, about 100 at the south end where that sign is.

Price is good for the cars. But if including the parts you gotta go $5500 bro. Else someone will roll up and be, like, "Yeah, I'll give you $3k fo SHO".

Edit: I guess you could use the parts as leverage to add on 500 or something.

The 92 doesn't run at all, but has that $1200 quaife in it. One 91 the interior is trash, the other the paint is trash. I was planning on turning all 3 into one really good car, but life says otherwise.

I’ve been wanting to, but haven’t made one yet. It’s not too far from me. Curious how many people actually bring parts for sale.

What else should I be ordering for my truck while I'm at it, people? I just hit 71k miles this week and my truck has never seen much salt, if any, frame is cleaner than some AZ and CA trucks. Timing belt is good. Suspension and all boots are good. Even my steering shaft seal is good last I checked. New radiator cap?

Prefer to combine orders just to cut down on shipping but can't think of anything my truck needs.

I bit off more than I could chew, that's for sure. I'm keeping an eye out for something else cool. Or just say eff it and put the money in the truck. I dunno yet.

At least you still got your balls.

Too bad you didn't live closer, I think we could knock out about 80% of the work during a 3-day weekend and you could sell two carcasses.

This is why I moved from hot rods to bikes when the kids came. Still get the joy of wrenching any time you want, but cost on parts is low, tasks are smaller in size so rarely need more than two hands, and you can complete most overhauls within the span of 1-2 weekends at worst and full restores in a week or three, easy.

I've been neglecting him too. Last thing I did was my axle seals in July. Of 2020. And they're still leaking. I had my mechanic friend do the rear brake cleaning and bleeding which lead to us deciding to pull the abs fuse. I also have a new rack waiting to go in. Much mangling still left to do with him.

I just went through axle seal fun, and the shop who did it said that He talked to someone and Toyota redesigned the inner seal to allow it to ride on a different surface for it to seal again. A lot of these trucks have higher mileage, and a good groove is worn into the axle right where the old seal rode. New OEM inner seal and I was good to go.

Well that's some new info. I'd say I qualify for higher mileage at 320k. I've replaced them twice myself, and I think my dad had them replaced a few times too.

Just scheduled an appointment to get an alignment on the Tundra. It's been a few years and the toe is off. I'm thinking about asking them to leave the caster around 2.8 which seems to have worked well for me.

Small world. There's one just a few miles from me at a repair shop.

    I believe it's Russian-built.

Speaking of neat vehicles spotted. I saw this bumblebee Viper over the weekend. I don't see these old ones very often and it was in great shape.

Is there anything I should know about getting the M12 stubby? :notsure:

(since everyone appears to like m18 tools instead)

I figured that should be good enough for working on the Tundra sonce its rated to 250+ ft lbs.. Still waiting for the kit to go on sale though.
