Can you please post a pic, or a sketch, and indicate where to place washers to correct this poor fit?

    Isn't that spacing an issue?
I saw the pictures someone uploaded and looks like a reciprocating saw would fit in that gap cutting the bolt like butter.. I think it defeats the rear cat plate purpose

I see where you are going with this, but with washers or a proper spacers, it would spin the washers with the saw and a correct spacer would make it tough to cut through. That being said, I don’t feel this has diminished the ability of the plates to deter thieves.

I'm not trying to be a hater, I just want to be able to park my truck without worries. If the washers are tight, they'll act like a pipe and would get cut easy.

The square spacer look like a good solution for this problem, there are pictures in this post:

For those asking for pictures of the washers, there's a picture in this post:

The spacer would be better than the washers, however, were someone looking to make that cut, it could be done with proper fit as well.

You are correct, there are no guarantees with this, but they seem to be working well, I haven’t heard of one person with my plates getting robbed.

The good news is that the new Z brackets no longer have the cut lines. It makes them stronger. Assuming that a thief actually did cut the Z brackets, they would need to remove, or cut the 3/8 bolts aswell. They will not be able to bend the plates by hand. The system is made to scare them away slow them WAY down.

In the future I will be offering gusseted Z brackets for more strength for both off road and theft prevention purposes

Is much harder to make a cut on a bolt head and takes more time than having a solid grip between the plate and the Z bracket.

I'm fine if my order comes with extra square spacers for these gaps instead of washers.

I appreciate you curating to show me. I think THIS mitigates any deterrent:84C3B34B-0204-411F-A07F-148E89DDD782.jpgbecause there’s easy access for a sawzall blade or grinder. Mostly, it just looks funky. I guess there’s no point guessing how it will fit ‘til I see it.

Bare steel will start shipping Tuesday, Fed Ex isn’t doing pick ups tomorrow. I have a lot at powder coat, expect 3/16 powder coated steel orders to start shipping Wednesday and powder coated steel after that.

I've been researching sliders, and it seems like the ones I like all interfere with the plates. Am I missing a brand that doesn't interfere?

Someone here had a summary post about which ones do not interfere and which ones have minor interference.

I believe the following bolt up without conflict (or with very minor mods):
    P&P Engineering, CaliRaised, C4

Several others would work with a minor amount of welding the rear bracket to the sliders.

Just so we’re on the same page, my plates are on order, not trying to knock the product.
They’re meant to be a deterrent, not impenetrable.

Why would you cut the bolt head?
I could make that cut in between bracket and plates in minutes.
There are no less than 3 different style sawzall blades styles that would cut through without too much strife.

With that being said, if someone wants something bad enough they’ll try and find a way.
Tyler’s plate are an excellent deterrent and should do that job exceptionally.

A lot of the cat theft I see are all grab and go. If someone sees a plate under that I'm 99.9% they will move on to the next.

I agree. I think someone reported earlier that they had the plates with the regular bolts and a thief started to Unbolt one of the plates but did not complete the process. I think that if they perceive it as too time consuming then a thief will move on for fear of being caught. Could be wrong but just my take on it.

you should offer a middle finger sticker to install on the plates to let potential thieves know you're one step ahead of them. put your logo on em, that'd be a first; an ad that says fu and yet people like it...
