My buddy is such a sube fan boy, but doesn’t work on them himself, and is constantly selling one for another due to expensive issues. I keep whispering Toyota in his ear, but he’s deaf to logic

Well then so far I'm leaning toward a Matrix but the ground clearance looks too low.
I'd love one of these if one came up locally.

Man I loved that car, just ripped in the snow. I get why people love em but you have to budget for a big expense at some point from what I’ve seen, even if you do it yourself.

Maybe if I'm patient one will come my way. I often find my best deals without looking for them.

Do you happen to know the last year they were made? Can’t even remember what year mine was, either 84 or 87 I’m thinking. Haven’t seen one in years.

Haven't been able to gauge it yet. I just had it installed a few weeks ago as we were waiting for the material to be available and then theres me in WA for two weeks. I know Doug's bill is about $30/mo higher and thats him taking it to work and back 5x a week. I also have solar panels and charge in the off peak hours, so I will prob average about the same or much less.

lol these computers on wheels are nuts. I want the 0-60 boost. It will take me from 4.2 to 3.7 seconds. Crazy part is, If I purchase it, it'll be added in about 2-3 minutes. For a NA vehicle, that cant be touched for the same at that price and that quick of an update

Not bad Sean. I heard your electric bill will go up like if you owned a 25 year old hot tub that isn’t as efficient (30-35.00).

Get the boost…sounds like a bit of fun. Your tires hate you.

    Not nearly enough room here!
The wagon came to the US in '80. Left in '90. I drove several, they were the real deal snow buggy for sure!

I own an "07 Tundra and a '15 Tacoma, 4.0L, 4x4, Sport. My Tacoma averages 18 mpg in mixed driving (45K miles). My Tundra by contrast - 13-15 mpg, mixed driving.

You either get one old enough that it has the HG issues, or if you get one newer you'll get a junky CVT transmission. If you can find a newer one with a manual transmission, that can be a very good car!

I'm looking for something 10 years old or older for my next ride. I'd even like a RAV4 from the 90's. The newer ones look too bloated.

I bought all 3 of my kids 2003 Toyota’s and all 3 run great. The only problem I ran in to was the coil packs on my oldest daughters Highlander. Below is what I got them. I did replace all the stock stereos with Sony Apple Car Play units. If you plan on getting a RAV4, make sure you get a V6.
    2003 RAV4L. 4 Cyl. 145k
    2003 Highlander. V6. 135K
    2003 Camry SE. V6 130K

My truck officially sold last evening. The transaction was completed. The title and keys were exchanged. It was bittersweet. I'm now driving my late father's '02 diesel Excursion. It's almost like driving a small school bus. The visibility from the driver's seat is better though but not as comfortable. Dimensionally it is about the same as the Tundra.
My search now begins for a new daily driver, preferably a Toyota.

Well I'm back in the Toyota saddle after three months of searching. It's not a Tundra though. I found a really nice low mileage '91 Xtra-cab with 3.0L V6 and 5 speed. I'll just have to find a proper forum here to post it in.
Stay tuned for photos and info.

I actually came across a couple but both were pretty well worn out with over 250K miles

I think it had over 145K miles.
