I mean if your trans is above 300° then the 200° raditator will "cool" the hot ass fluid.

Yea, but bypassing to a cooler means you’re running on thick fluid until it gets itself up to temp.

Meh. I never drive short drives. It's always 30 min +. Plus I've had ATF samples sent to Blackstone from the V6.

Radiator warmer has been bypassed since April of 2019.

My worldview is shattered. Maybe the ‘tards are sent to engineering on purpose.

#7030, the ones that only fit double cabs per EL. I looked far and wide, but couldn't find anywhere online that mentions specificity. It's a unit.

I gave it one quick shot before work this morning in 4WD with just a torque wrench, but it didn't budge. I'm off now so I'll head out to the garage and give it some serious persuasion now that I have the time.

Woop, got it! Took about four seconds on the trigger with the truck in 4WD. I'm going to pick up a seal for the companion flange itself in the morning since they're only a few bucks and I have it off.

So, given that tidbit, would this be a solid buy or does the one advertised (and not currently available) from cold case have any superior features (other than a lower price tag)?

I just replaced muh front O2s and gas cap, cause CEL. Now that that's handled, I'm off to tackle a driver's seat swap, front door latches, and front door panels...which has already snowballed into me running to various auto parts stores looking for a paint match to the crusty mesh speaker grills, sigh

It probably would make more sense to use a heat exhanger coupled to the vehicle exhaust to get it up to temp quicker. I get to work in 5 minutes on the highway and it's only when I get off the highway that it's finally up temperature.

You'd probably need some sort of electronically controlled valve to divert the fluid or exhaust to avoid it from getting too hot though.

Got my 4crawler shackle mounts installed. Prep work was normal paint stuff, scuffed with 40 grit sandpaper, wiped down with acetone, several good coats of rust oleum self etching primer, and finally painted with rust oleum truck bed coating.

Hit 71k miles on the way to Commerce/Braselon area to meet up with an acquaintance. That came faster than expected. Windows down the whole way there and back, weather is awesome today!

Dang man, wash that thing when you get done! ;)

I like that Cold Case one! I'm surprised by the price, would expect to be more if USA made. I go out of my way to support domestic labor, so you know which way I'd be leaning....

Is that the daily driver I see in the background? ;)
