So I finally found a trd pro 2021, about to put a deposit down but wanted some advice from this awesome community on two topics:

1-it will come with the “ pocket fenders with rivet” option. Not a fan of these so plan to take them off. Has anyone had to do this? I assume they are bolted on via the wheel well?

2-i live in NC and will be buying from Florida. Anyone have advice/tips to look out for when doing out of state purchase?

Its not an option from toyota, but sometimes dealerships will add stuff like that to a showroom truck.

They will most likely be Bushwackers if they come with it, pretty easy to remove. There are a few youtube vids on installation to give you an idea.

1 - Fender Flares regardless of which style are a Port or Dealership Add-on and easily removed
2 - Why from Florida if you are in NC?

In NC I couldn’t find any dealers with 2021 trd pros that weren’t accounted for already and no one could order one.

Ya the window is closing on the last of the V8s and ALL/ANY Tundra is hard to find. Took me forever it seems to find a Cement Limited Double Cab. Should land in 2-3 wks. Everything seems to be sold before it even reaches the dealerships

I bought my Tacoma and Tundra from out of state, the dealer *should* handle everything on that front. They tried to tack on Kentucky sales tax to my Tundra (i dont think it was an accident, the dealers were sheisty af) so I had to call and talk to three people to get it removed.
I paid my states sales tax when I registered it. The dealer mailed me the KY title which I handed to my bank, paid them the xfer fee bs, and they then filed for a Maine title (which they then promptly lost when I paid it off 6 months later and called asking where tf my title was)

What did you end up getting? I sold two Tundras to Carvana this year for some big $$$.

I just got mine a couple weeks back in Alabama, talked about it on my build thread. Buying right now is both good and bad.

I bought a truck in Fla years back, I believe they can legally charge more for doc fees, but that's all I remember. Just under $1k if I remember correct.

    Welcome from LA (Lower Alabama)!

No big deal buying out of state. You just pay sales tax when you get your tag. Congrats!
