If those numbers are true, I think my 2002 Duramax had 300hp and 600 torque. If the electric just kicks in to get up to speed, it will be a good pulling 1/2 ton truck. Just need a smooth running drive train to go with it.

You and I bud. Looks like I will be keeping my 2020. I think Toyota is going to lose sales over this redesign and lack of a V8. Time will tell. But it does look like Toyota and Chevy had a kid.

The way the rear bed side goes out where the bumper typically would be on the back/side is very heavy looking when done like this. The interior however is a huge leap forward. Looking forward to one in MY 2023

Toyota will sell every Tundra they can make.

I like the interior and drivetrain specs.

However, I am not impressed by the exterior appearance, and now I feel less motivation to replace my current truck. Better get out there and change the oil on ol' girl, she's gonna have to hold me over for a while yet!

I guess I’m alone in the “I like the design a lot!” camp. Interested to finally hear specs and towing numbers. Still probably won’t ever own one as I’m headed to needing a heavy duty for towing and will keep my 08 for my “light duty”

It’s similar to the wide screen in the new Highlander Platinum. It’s very nice and does not obstruct the view in any way.

How in anyway does anything in this look like a titan? The titan doesn't even have hard lines in the fenders you could call creases. I can see how the screen placement would be much more beneficial as you dont have to look down, much closer to your sight line when looking down the road....probably just take a little getting used too. The shifter boot seems like a way better design then the current shifter , the "gates" dont even make any sense, and plastic covers look cheap.

    What? No.

Reminder this is still a preproduction model. Not saying anything would change from it to the production model though.

    Agreed.
I'm hoping the Platinum is body color non chromed with a decent grill. From the spy photos we've seen so far, it looks like there are at least 4 distinct grill designs. TRD Pro honeycomb, the one just posted with four thick horizontal bars, another set recently shows six thin horizontal bars, and the ones where they first showed the coil springs you could see a combo bar/honeycomb design like on the front of the RAV4s.
I didn't like the look at first, but it's growing on me.

I think I'll wait at least 4 or 5 years for them to do another redesign. They need to fix the rear end, don't like that the rear bumper doesn't wrap around. Maybe by then it will grow on me more. Until then I'll enjoy my 2020 Pro. Hopefully these engines will enable some tuning to be done as well.

I’m just very curious to know what the prices are going to be on these? as intriguing and exciting as it may be, when practicality sets in, until there’s a year or two has gone bye I won’t be considering it. The experience from the hybrids is what’s going to interest me.

Yeah, probably is like it is in my 2021 Avalon. There isn't a rotary knob for A/C, it's all in little buttons beneath the screen.

I think the door setup is a vast improvement over the current model.

It's probably similar to that Tundra dude guy and others who have a relationship with the brand. They have an agreement and in it there is probably something relating to releasing unofficial info.

    Doubt it.

When people see one with a pro-grille and lifts/tires they'll be all over it. 20 years from now there will be dudes with 4th gen Tundras complaining about the upcoming Hydrogen powered 8th gens not having anything on a big meaty TTV6. I can see it now
