Check the build link in my signature.
My coworkers are the ones that tell me I have RDF. And most of my kids’ friends are all scared of me (until they are around long enough to get to know me).

Yes, it is very good for keeping strangers from approaching me.

Not SC'd, don't need a SC, but has lockers...and.... a fu*king 6 speed manual which is not easy to find. Tired of automatics....manual transmission or walk....

    ^ I love this statement...
Just last weekend talking with my wife (we only see each other on the weekends because of my work schedule), she said "Did you wake up this morning and decide to be a dick?".
The situation was this, we're having a garage sale 9/10 and 9/11 so she has to park in the driveway because all her garage sale stuff is setup in the garage...
My comment was "I bet you can't park in the driveway for a week without running over the grass'.
That made me the BAD GUY for the rest of that weekend...

    https://youtu.be/dW37AGZ0Pj0

At work, I'm kinda labeled as anti-social.
I will say 'hello" or 'Wazzup' to anyone that will look me in the eye.
    I'm not rude to anyone..
I'll talk to other drivers in dispatch, shoot the sh!t a little..
But I just don't get into the gossip and negative bitchin' that most of them want to rant about.
I come in, do my run and what is expected of me from management, and I go home..

Been working for me for 35 Years..

Sliders and a Toytec suspension. Dealer has replacement OEM fenders, just not mounted yet. If I do this...I'll be taking it to Toytec for a make over. A friend gave me heads up on this FJ. The dealer is going to let me have it for a day to get it checked out and run it thru the ringer. Not a LC but if I can get a decent deal it will be a nice addition.

The Wagyu brisket we did a couple of weeks ago was disappointing. Hopefully yours is better.

What seasoning are you going with?

I didn’t trim nearly enough on the wagyu one I did. I got too worried about waste considering how expensive it was. I usually try to mimic what he does:

Saturday, cool slaps, cool guys, beer in the fridge, meat to be smoked, kids by the pool, CFB on tv, truck mods in between and I’m not in trouble.

    Good times!

You know in some circles a question like that could start a debate that would put the tomato/grilled cheese incident of 2021 to shame.

What was the conclusion to the disappointment?
    To fatty?
    Tough?
    Poor flavor?

So, I’ve had Wagyu in a few different cuts. I honestly don’t feel like the difference between it and prime are nearly enough to justify the price. The only time I see a huge difference is in a really lean cut like sirloin. I don’t normally care for sirloin, but it’s really good in wagyu.

I think the main issue was I didn’t trim nearly enough. This was a very expensive brisket that my son asked for for his birthday. Due to the expense, I was way too tentative in the trim.

That said, the flavor was “fine”, which is not good enough for something that costs so much.

If someone feels the need to fight over brisket seasoning, they’re automatically wrong.

I’ve always been weary of trimming too much fat but finally said, I’m gonna do what’s looks good to me and smoke it up.

Yes, with the prices, it should have been amazing.

I do enjoy Meat Church as well.
I think the trimming thing is subjective.
Some guys are looking for a “competition” trim while others want something pretty to look at.

No matter how good, where it’s cooked, how much it cost or flavor.
My wife puts ketchup on her steaks.

it’s really one of the most embarrassing things she does.

Considering there’s only three of us in the house most of the time now, I’ve started just buying trimmed up flats and points a lot of the time. Costs a little more per pound, but the work is done and I can cook smaller batches. As much as meat costs nowadays, I try to avoid waste. We used to be really bad about it.

@Larmand turned me on to Meat Church Holy Cow on brisket, and it’s become our go to. Love that stuff on beef ribs also.

Had a buddy that did this. He joined us for a fly in 7 day fishing trip to Canada one time and I found his ketchup bottle while packing the truck. I tossed it out. No way hes gonna put that on the fish. Felt pretty bad when I realized much later, 300 miles from the nearest civilization that he brought hotdogs for lunch.

I very strongly do not give a damn how anyone else eats their food. Steak well done? Steak sauce? Ketchup? I can’t for the life of me figure out why anyone cares.
Growing up, my stepdad was one of those guys who judged everyone about how they ate, what they ate, etc. I eat everything on my plate one at a time. Drove him crazy and he wouldn’t shut up about it.
It basically made me where I trigger like a mfer when someone else talks about how someone likes their food.

Same here. If I’m not buying a bulk order I opt for the trim.
It’s just much easier that way.
