Thanks! It took me a while to complete, I should have done a liner before but the rock waterfall was already there. So I get a decent amount of bleed thru to the back wall, so I’ve gotten creative with where and how the water hits certain rocks. I’ve also got 4 55gallon drums that collect rain water to help fill the pond, and also my AC condensate pump feeds into those barrels too. We have a rainwater harvesting incentive program here, if you take the class, the city will reimburse you a dollar a gallon per cistern. And some cisterns can be purchased for less than a dollar a gallon, so your making money/offsetting other costs of the build; I need to get down on one of those classes!

Don’t forget us green liners(it’s not just military)

The thin green line is a symbol that is used to show support for federal law enforcement agents such as border patrol, park rangers, and conservation personnel. The thin green line is also used to show support for the men and women of our military.

    It’s Friday guys.
Nothing better to do than reminisce, enjoy the present, take a moment for yourself and have a drink(if you do that sort of thing).

    Something I’m curious about...

What is something that you were warned about when you were younger that you now feel was exaggerated?

    I’ll start...

    Cups.

    No, not those.
    These.

    upload_2021-9-3_19-4-40.jpg

I can honestly say, after making as far through life as I have, these things really only came into good use maybe, once.

I did Krav Maga for a few years in my early 30’s - the cup came in far more useful in that training than it ever did in HS.

    cheers everyone

For me it was advanced math. I’ve never used algebra or calculus. I realize others use it every day.

The only two mainstream sports I haven’t played.
    I could see the benefits.

I have seen a guy take a puck to the orbital socket at a Birmingham Bulls game.
    Good times!

    Nice beverage.

I’ve played around in a few different sparring/self-defense skills.
Cups were beneficial but not as much as anticipated initially.

Algebra wouldn’t be what I’d consider “advanced” ;) and I’d bet you use it more than you think in day to day life… calculus I’d agreea lot of people never run into much need for that…but I still do on occasion. Differential Equations - that’s a class I’ve never used since I graduated college.

I found them more uncomfortable than useful.

Mostly I remember doing stupid stuff that no one warned me about until after the fact.

Right after I moved away from home I had a cookout. I put 20 burgers on the grill at the same time. Inferno ensued. I called my dad and asked how do you cook 20 burgers without a fire. He said, I don't cook 20 burgers at the same time.

I had a friend in apprentice school that played lacrosse. That's brutal. It's like the demolition derby of ball sports.

My other problem with briskets(I’m guess that’s what that is) is I’m the worst fat trimmer; I know you want some but not a lot.
What flavor of pellets do you like to use the most?

    I understand it’s needed, but...

However, it’s funny, I find myself telling people we don’t use much complex math while doing complex math.

Normally I don’t trim a lot off the briskets I get. For some crazy reason a Costco just north of me always had prime briskets for less then choice. Idk why the hell that would be the case but it is. This is a rated 6-7 waygu and it’s my first time trying it. Both the fat in prime or rated waygu are very forgiving and almost add a buttery effect to the cook. I’m excited about this one.

as far as pellets I’ll be running Lumberjack brand competition blend it has a good balance.
