Not sure if you're aware of this but it looks like you have mostly everything body color, the black on the door pillars can be remove and they're painted behind it.

An e makes a big difference between grill and grille but often the wrong one is used.

got the bumpershellz cover added, TPO was sold out so I have gloss black and it matches perfectly. Did the tvd vinyl for the Pro grille and did blackout badge overlays for the doors. Completely changed the 2015 SR5 with bumpershellz, Pro grille and headlights

I’m painting my bumper caps next & then I’m done. I like the subtle black accents so I’m going to keep the door panels. I like they way it all blends together with my tint anyways, if it wasn’t there I feel like it would stick out too much.

The black door handles just looked unfinished in my opinion.

Dammit, got the truck covered in mud this week pulling my coworker out of it and decided to stop at the drive thru and spray it down before cleaning it at home because I didn't want all that mud in my yard. Well pressure washer blasted a chip of paint off my hood scoop. Gotta order a new one now. There goes another 250.00

Found I needed power in the truck bed but was paranoid about accidentally running the battery down and getting stranded. This meant I needed a way to easily monitor voltage along with a way to turn the power on & off from the back of the truck. Blue Sea has a good consolidated solution that includes a voltmeter, on/off rocker switch, and USB and cigarette power outlets (https://www.bluesea.com/products/43...er_12V_Socket_Dual_USB_Charger_Mini_Voltmeter).

I decided to install the Blue Sea 4366 power panel onto the lid of a Pelican Ruck Case R60 (https://www.pelican.com/us/en/product/cases/ruck-case/personal-utility/r60) and then bolt the case to the bed sidewall. The power panel could have been installed directly into the sidewall but I didn’t want to cut out that much metal. Plus, installing the power panel onto the R60 case provides easy access to the wires if there’s ever a problem. The case is small enough that it tucks into the recessed area of the bed sidewall so it doesn’t stick out much and is waterproof which is critical for mounting in the open bed.

The power panel is located in the lower half of the case which leaves the upper half free for something else. Right now I’m thinking about running an air chuck to the bed and installing it inside the case. If the air chuck fits inside, it will be out of the dust and rain.

Holes were drilled in passenger side of truck bed then painted. A 10awg cable was run from a fuse block in the engine compartment to the truck bed.

Holes were drilled in the lid of the case and the panel mounted with SS machine screws. One thing that’s nice about this case is that the inside has a rubber coating. This coating turned out to be a good gasket and sealed the holes.

The case was mounted to the sidewall with four SS bolts.

Installed my Stillen Cold Air Intake system just now. Was a lot easier than I thought. I think removing the grill from the bottom was one of the scariest things ive done. It felt like I was gonna break some tabs but I closed my eyes and gave it a good confident pull and yay.

Ive never seen a picture of the actual dry filter used in these. I took a picture just so people can reference it. I was hoping it would be a reusable dry filter but it appears to be a paper filter that doesnt look reusable. Had I known, I would have bought the oiled version for the same price so I could at least have another reusable filter for the stockpile and then pickup an AfE dry cone filter which ill probably end up doing once this filter is done for.

Many folks said the hardest part was lining the bottom of the air box and inserting the 2x bottom screws. I got super lucky and got one of the screws aligned and inserted at first try. What helps is installing the 2x rubber grommets first so you can look down at the hole and ensure its all aligned.

Anyway heres some pics. Tomorrow morning I have an apt for 295-70-18 tires. The fun continues. Happy Friday!

Oh what a day... Long story, feel free to skip.

I had the day off and decided to get the free 55k miles service at the dealership (DCH Toyota of Torrance) done to my truck. Before I left I smudged the dirt on the driver's side rear wheel just to see where it would end up after the tire rotation. I get to the dealership and the service guy talks me into an oil change being that it hasn't had one since December, but I've only put 4100'ish mile on it since then. So I wait at the dealership and hour and change and the service guy calls me to tell me I need new rear brake pads and the battery has acid corrosion on the terminals. My plan was to get a new battery later today anyways. He quoted me $340 to do the rear pads, but would give me a deal of $300. :eek2:. Yeah, right.

So I get my truck back and forget to check for the smudge and head home, just two miles away. Get home, have lunch, call up BatteriesPlus to see if they had one in stock for me (they did) and then hop on Amazon to order some brake pads. So I head out and instead of walking in front of my truck like always I walked behind it to see where that smudged wheel end up. IT DID NOT MOVE. The tires weren't rotated.:mad::mad:

That annoyed me but I figured since I'm going to do the rear brakes I'll rotate them then. Drive 7 miles to get the battery and drive home. I back into my 2 year old concrete driveway and walk around the front of the truck. I happen to look down and see a small stream of oil on the concrete. That wasn't there this morning. I look underneath the truck and there is oil dripping from the drain plug. WHAT THE FUCK! I got some Oil Dri and dumped it on there before it has a chance to soak in. Then got a 14mm socket to tighten up the drain plug. The "mechanic" just finger tightened the bolt. There's oil splattered on the frame cross member, the frame, the rear end and right rear shock.

At this point I am livid. Took my truck in for service and it came back in worse condition. I took pictures to document it and called the service guy. Left a message telling him to call me to talk about the absolute shit work his service technician did. He calls me a little later and I explain everything to him. I emailed him all the pictures so he could show his service manager.

After a few calls, he's giving me a free oil change for next time and I have to bring my truck back tomorrow so they can make sure everything was done correctly. His technician told him remembers torquing down the lugnuts, but he was wondering how the guy was able to get to the rear brake pads if he never rotated the tires. They even checked the cameras in the service bay, but he didn't tell me what was on the camera. That leads me to believe the mechanic took the wheels off, got distracted, checked the brakes, then got the wheels mixed up and put them back on.

So moral of the story, don't take your truck in for service the day before a 3 day weekend.
