How did you mount your tent? Directly through the crossbars? That’s how my tuff stuff alpha is and it seems pretty secure, though the rack seems to have a slight wobble when I go over larger bumps and faster speeds. I do have the tonneau adapters, but didn’t bolt through the bed rail caps... I should probably do that

The tough stuff came 4 u-brackets to mount over the cross bars. It hasn’t moved since it’s been installed. The only flex I get is on the rack itself due to the movement of the bed going over terrain. I’ve even loosened everything up and spread the rack back out and it still slides in about a 1/4”. I’ll take some photos of the brackets it came with. Overall I’m very pleased with the stability and how secured everything is especially for it being my daily driver

ok thanks, I just didn't see the bracket in your post below. also is your rack the steel or aluminum version? Mine looks a bit different (see post below).

mine is the 18” RCI rack. Sits just below the light on the cab. It is 12 gauge steel, peer their design specs. I ordered the extra crossbar for my 5 person elite tuff stuff tent for that extra support for my 5 person fam.
