I'd be concerned about what looks like a sloppy weld on an overall rusty frame.

How much are they asking? Unless you're desperate, personally, I would pass.

Definitely NOT garage kept... It's about timing and this ain't the time to buy. Good luck

It's definitely seen a fair amount of salt but we've seen way worse. How does the rest of the frame look? I would even lower the spare tire and check that crossmember to make sure it's not rotten.

Has the timing belt ever been done?
    How much are they asking?
A torn CV boot is very common and the axles are fairly easy to replace.
It probably has all original suspension. You should expect a decent amount of $ to replace some parts.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Actually here in Taiwan, we don't have salt on the roads but he might have driven it on the beach...
The timing belt has to be done, considering how rare the crew cabs are, here in Taiwan, the price of 18000 U$ is on the lower side of the usual.
He said he will replace the CV boot.

Suspension is not completely original, has Total Chaos Fab. upper control arms the shocks appear to be the remains of Old Man Emu
and I am expecting to throw some cash on it...

Do you believe that the cam adjuster is too rotten? The frame seems to have mostly superficial rust only that mentioned cam adjuster looks awful.
Have check that cross member you mentioned

That's pretty cool actually. I guess the beach makes sense. It will definitely be a bitch to remove those cam adjusters but not impossible. It sounds like you have a good amount of knowledge on the subject so you should be able to figure it out. I would just triple check the frame and make sure it's not hiding any surprises. People have been known to paint over rust. Make sure the 4WD works. If everything checks out and you are ok with the price then go for it. Good luck!
