Long story short: I bought my first lifted truck used from a dealership, found out it was a spacer lift that was unsafe to drive, so I parked the truck and have been in a rental since June 1st. Decided to take it into a very well known shop in my city that does awesome work. I was told the typical lead time of 4-6 weeks, but that realistically I'm looking at 8-10 weeks (no biggie). It has now been a week short of 3 months and the counter guy at the shop that's doing my lift is saying that he hasn't even gotten an invoice from them meaning they haven't shipped. Anyone else experiencing this crazy of a wait for (2) 2.5 coilovers with the reservoir?

Wow that's a crazy wait! Couple weeks ago I ordered new OME BP-51's and Dakar leaf springs and the shocks were here within 3 days and the rear a couple days later (ordered them a day or 2 after the shocks). Shocks came from shock surplus. How big of a lift are you doing?

4" just to keep the height that I'm currently sitting at. I'm getting a bit frustrated cause this rental is starting to add up.

Totally normal in today's world. There are shortages and long wait times on all sorts of things, not just Tundra parts! I know people that have ordered and are waiting many months just for some shocks. Many tires are also on backorder, 3+ month wait. Lots of shipping containers still backed up in processing, so shortages and waiting for items will be with us for a while.

Yeah I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, even went as far as to thinking maybe some of the wildfires are messing with them. I'm going to see if the shop can give me the confirmation number so I can track the status on their website, rather than just get a "still waiting on an invoice" text message. The guy told me 2 weeks ago that the BDS rep said they would ship by the end of August. Maybe I'm just getting impatient lol.

I ordered my Falcon kit in November it arrived in March.

Why would you buy a truck that is unsafe to drive?

I've heard that BDS has been backed up. I've been waiting for a replacement crossmember (through their no questions asked warranty) since February . Which reminds me that I also need to warranty the driver side knuckle as well. Anyhow, the warranty is awesome, before COVID I'd get replacement parts in a week.

My rear icon shocks are 2 weeks into a 6 month wait. I won't get them until next year.

Didn't realize the lift was unsafe until I blew out the passenger side shock and had the shop look at it.

Off topic but did they ever take care of you with the Icon rear shock mixup? Hopefully they did and that's what you're waiting on.

We will see. They said icon doesn't have them and it would be 6 months but I've asked for a purchase order so I can see they have been ordered and I haven't seen it so hopefully if I keep bugging them they will make it right.

I have a 7" BDS lift and ordered replacement front sway bar end links on Aug 21st. Two days later, received this in an email from BDS sales:
"Thank you for your order. Unfortunately, currently we are still experiencing the effects of the pandemic and there appears to be items on your order with a lead time. We are doing everything possible to ship orders as fast as possible. Currently 41% of orders ship in the first week. However, some are taking 2-8 weeks. Orders with FOX items may have a slightly longer lead time. If you have any questions or want to make any changes, please let me know and I will take care of that for you."

Hi, Unfortunately, I cannot do very much without the original order number. Currently 41% of new orders are shipping within a week. That means that 59% of orders are shipping sometime between two and roughly 12 weeks. I would highly suggest asking them to contact their sales rep within our office for an update.

this is the email I just received from them after asking about my parts. Time to get the confirmation number from my counter guy and see where this order is.

@TexasYota2019 had a buddy just put a 7” BDS lift with Fox shocks on his truck (Denali 3500). He waited 3 months for his kit as well. Our local offroad shop told him that they were told my BDS that the hold up was on the knuckles.

I’m only needing the coilovers so I’m curious as to what the hold up has been on those. I’m roughly at 13 weeks depending on when the shop actually ordered the parts (I’d hope it was the same day I paid for them)

At least you have a time frame. I am trying to find a Kenwood 1007XR and no one has them and don't know when they will get them in (except 1-2 places that are adding an extra $400 on top of MSRP).

Decided to call BDS again, THEY CANT EVEN FIND IT IN THEIR SYSTEM. So either the shop didn't order them or there was a typo in the confirmation number I was given (rep said it was highly unlikely on the typo). Couldn't pull them up by the shop address they're supposed to be shipped to. 4.5 months of waiting seems to be down the drain, if the rep calls me back I will most likely cancel my order (if it was placed at all) unless they can overnight them. Anyone have opinions on King shocks, there's a shop near me that has them in stock.

To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I was really looking forward to having my truck worked on by this shop as they do some insane builds with the best quality I've seen. But if this is an error on their end and the parts really didn't get ordered I'm not sure on giving them a second chance.

Sorry to hear about your trouble. There are long waits for some of the better suspension stuff out there. I just ordered a complete King suspension and SPC UCAs, with King extended shocks with reservoirs and adjusters front and rear with some bits for the 4Runner KDSS system and tire clearance for our 21 4Runner TRD ORP.

I was told it could be FIVE MONTHS!

But not getting timely responses from your shop is just really just bad business practice. Hope it works out for you.

My thoughts exactly. I ended up speaking with the manager of the store who made the error of giving my service rep the customer order number, not the actual tracking number from Fox. He explained the wait and I had mentioned that I was planning to switch if this is an error on Fox. He told me he just ordered some King rear shocks for his Jeep and he was told 56 weeks. We sorted it out and my parts have been arriving slowly, just need the coils. I'm probably going to go ahead and place the order for the rear shocks with the way the lead times are lol.
