So I have searched and have come up with bits and pieces. First off I have 2020 SR5. When I lock my doors via the key fob I get the blinking red light that is a truck with a lock on the dash. I tried to see if my alarm was activated already from the dealer since I get the blinking red light. It’s not. I start doing some research and come to find out I don’t have a alarm relay in my fuse box. Next step was remove the defrost relay and put it in the alarm relay spot. Still didn’t work. After more research I saw that I have to put a jumper in the plug by the hood latch. Still didn’t work. I saw another post with a picture of what looks to be a horn by the air filter, I don’t have one. The green wire is there though. So I take it that I need to order a relay, horn and jump the 2 wire at the hood latch to make it work? Also have the dealer activate it.

Mines was the TSS or something package. It’s a 2020 SR5 DC. Like I said no relay and no horn. I know Toyota adds or removes add-on’s depending on package. Like mine brought a console safe but no under seat storage.

For real. I had to go and buy one because of all the stuff I keep down there. I got tired of it rolling around under the seat. By the way did your alarm already come activated from the dealer? Or did you take it back to have them turn it on?

I now have an alarm. For future reference for those that don’t find all the answers here is my experience with the OEM alarm. It wasn’t activated by the dealer. I didn’t have the relay for the alarm or the 3rd horn by the air filter box. Before taking it to the dealer I used one of the other relays (mirror defrost) they are all the same by the way and had the dealer activate it. My alarm now works. All I have to do is buy a relay and the 3rd horn. By the way the tech didn’t know what I was talking about and said all I had was the panic feature. Told him I can show him the instructions for the techstream but didn’t want them. He took the truck in and 10min later it was done. Looked like this was new to him. By the way I did notice that when the alarm was inactive the red lock light on the dash blinks right away. Now that it is active it’s lite up solid for about 20-30 secs the starts to blink.

Just FYI, I believe the blinking red light has to do with the key fob not being in the vehicle. I dont have push start but I get the blinking red light with the alarm off unless the chip key is in the ignition.
