I believe the third brake light wasn't noticed because of all the camo on the testing trucks . There was nowhere for water to get in until the camo was off .

The plant in Texas is not even picking up their phones. The information center is closed and they are not allowing any tours at this point. This was as of a couple days ago.

No kidding...friend of mine bought a new GMC last year and they're *still* dealing with that, but 'it runs and hasn't gotten worse' is his response. LOL

Switching over a plant to produce an all new product takes some time. Then dialing in production by running pre-production vehicles takes time.

Didn't the Corvette factory do the same thing when they switched over to the C8?

It will happen when Toyota decides to let it happen. September 19, 2021 is a Sunday. Not sure why they’d choose to drop a press release like that on a Sunday.

That’s why I always tell people to buy a Tundra in the 1/2 ton market. Well…except for 2021. GM went without cylinder deactivation due to shortages.

I'd still rather have the fit and finish of the Tundra over the GM.

I know right? It just blows my mind what the auto industry is turning into. I may just need to get a horse because there is no way in hell I’m paying any of these prices.

From a salesman friend this morning.
“Holly $)(; wow we just got a TRD Pro 4Runner and it’s $10,000 over window sticker $67,000 plus taxes NUTS”
He went on to say that he has a customer that wants it but will only do five over and at first the sales manager said no but then decided they would do the deal but five over was as low as they would go!!!!
This morning was his reply to the high dollar Tundra trucks above!!!! that I sent him.

That’s crazy. Your so upside down in that deal… unless new prices are going up that much. And, if they do, they will price a lot out of the market. This price gouging is not going to end well for dealers in the long run.

Just because you can get it doesn't mean you should charge it. The higher prices are not because of higher cost to build, it's simply because of lower stock. When people do it for bread and milk (or whatever) after a hurricane the news and law get involved and call it price gouging. Those dealers are dirty and I would remember it for next time if it was near me and buy elsewhere, even if I saw a better deal at that dealer.

100k is crazy. Saw on here where a guy said he paid 80k for a Pro. Couldn't (still can't) understand the financial logic behind purchases like these.
