Oh damn, yeah pretty area. Did a lot of the pines survive and it just burned under brush or is it all charcoal?

Everything looked black. Not sure if the pines will survive or of they are toast. A lot still standing at least.

I keep articles book marked for reference, so hope this suffices. Use the sequence I posted above. The wrench size will probably be different for the Tundra, and instead bleeding until the air bubbles stop, you bleed until you see the fluid change in color. Hope this helps.

Lots of guys use the brake bleeders now, but I've always done it this way. It's actually pretty easy.

Just in case anyone needs a good laugh today, I just figured out that the Tundra doesn't have a CD player and my entire music collection is CD's. Gawd I'm feeling old

A few years ago I finally got rid of all my CDs. With Apple Music I can get just about anything I used to listen to.

It was honestly my third color choice but with the scarcity of Tundras I went with it. I'm glad I did. It looks good, will hide dirt and grime well, and (most importantly) it's mine!

That last part makes the color 10000% better.

20210831_150108.jpg Installed the RB20s, Husky liners and center console safe today. Got help from my 5 year old daughter handing me tools and parts for the running boards. Trying to scrounge up as much time as I can to add things.

Couldn't help myself and managed a rear end blackout before sunset all while throwing the football with the girls. Swapped out the backup light to LED while I was at it.20210831_193434.jpg

About 10 years ago I moved all my stuff to Google music - I had a very dialed MP3 collection with very specific file naming, album art, etc. Then they started messing around with turning it into YouTube music, and couldn’t decide if they were going to let you keep the storage, etc. so I moved the whole family over to Spotify and haven’t looked back. I don’t own a CD player in the house, car, or computers even.

I was having some trouble getting the running boards level enough to my liking. I still wanted to mess with them more but I couldn't spend any more time on it today. They're fine, just not....PERFECT.

Really like the look and they're solid. I'm floating around 250lbs and I don't even feel a flex when I step on them. Most importantly, the girls can now get in and out with ease. Love how wide they are for the kiddos.

Still waiting on my canopy to show. I ordered over 2 months ago anticipating this delay. I'm glad I did. As long as it gets here before hunting season...

Looks awesome, how do you think the traction will be when wet? I've been waiting for my $199 Amazon black aluminum boards to shit out on me but they have been surprisingly great.

We are 100% Spotify as well. Their family might be one of the best deals around these days.

Truck is looking good! Glad you scrounged some time to get a few toys done. Truck time is always in conflict with family time unless you get their help!

    Speaking of canopies..

If anyone sees a SSM CM canopy for sale anywhere from Seattle to Portland in the next week, let me know! We'll be camping near Chehalis. I'll be checking Craigslist but I don't do the Fakebook marketplace.

    Thanks fellas!

I'd imagine traction will be good. They're the bed liner boards but it's not quite as aggressive non skid as 'actual' bed liner. Should be plenty though. Hopefully I won't have to wait until early November for it to really start raining and put them to the test.

You might want to try OfferUp as well. It’s basically the same chitshow as CL, but the app is useful and you can set up auto-searches. Plus you can see a bit of info on the seller to decide if they are trustworthy. Or how much hardware you bring to an exchange.

During camping this last week the wife kept saying I need running boards. So with that permission to spend money on the truck I am starting to research. Although I am not a heavy off-roader I am thinking sliders are a good option for the protection. Reading all the threads here it looks like lots of options for running boards and sliders.

Anyone here have either one and have strong opinions or things they wish they knew before their purchase and install?

I've had 2 sets of sliders. Victory 4x4 and White Knuckle off Road. I like WKOR better. If you get sliders, have them sent bear. Get someone to powder coat them locally or rhino line them.

I like the WKOR and the C4 sliders the best. Yes, would have them finished here locally to ensure they don’t get messed up during shipping.

I would have preferred sliders, but I had to go with steps for the shorter people in my family. The sliders I saw/liked were nicely tucked up near the bottom of the truck and the first step up was too far from the ground.

I think good sliders maximize clearance while good steps maximize ease of getting into truck. Conflicting requirements. In the end I settled on steps that look like sliders but have a big step for everyone.
