That's what I figured that thing would look like. As others have said it seems your running on borrowed time. Think it's time to let her sit until the parts show up and you got free time. Think it'll be a good truck once it gets some love.

We took a gander at the trans fluid in the parking lot. Didn't look anywhere near as bad as I thought it would. Didn't smell too bad either.

 

Wow! I believe you're probably correct that it's the original. Hard to believe it's still holding up. On the plus side, it's a testament to Aisin's engineering.

Just placed this order. I will be placing an order for a radiator from the link provided by @w666 shortly.

 

Just a thought but if the side rails on the old radiator aren't bad you can remove them and use them on the new Denso rad which probably has the newer design for mounting. Once you get the new rad and look at the old one when you get it out you'll see what I'm referring to.

 

Did they give you a date or anything on the frame replacement? What does the rest of the suspension and other shit underneath look like? Rusted shit or still OK? I remember the other people who got the frame job had a sizeable bill due to needing other shit replaced cause it was rusted and nasty.

 

My truck was done at this same dealer. Got inspected near the end of March and frame was done in middle of July. They just told me they'd call me when it came in and it was my turn in line.

 

So ya'll have 3 months give or take. Y'all gonna help out and gang bang that TB job? More topless Noah pics? Tent of shame?

 

I'm down to give it a shot if we can get our schedules to line up. It'll be the furthest I've ever torn into an engine though. I'm definitely no expert.

Ah- Noah needs the part number from your frame swap for his chart. See if it matches the numbers from my '03 access cab frame.

This^. Man, I really like the truck you found. Four wheel drive was on my wish list when I was looking, but this low mileage 2 wheel drive 06 showed up and I grabbed it instead. That being said, you have an interference engine and that belt is beyond terminal. If it was mine, I probably wouldn't even fire it up to move it until I threw a new belt on it.

 

That’s one of the first things we plan on doing. We had to drive it today to get title changed but now it’s parked for a good while until we can start working on it.

The Chevy is still under the tent of shame doesn’t seem to be going anywhere for awhile unfortunately. However, @Tundra2 mentioned something about either taking over the tend or finding a second one.

I’ll make sure to take plenty of photos of him working on the truck and teaching me. I’ll be sure to get a few shirtless ones for you too

 

It sounds like you need to infiltrate the local auto stores work force and slowly fester product and supplies into the back of your car for Noah.
