Florida is a state supported by snowbird migration and tourism. Natives are unicorns. I guess the closest you may find to 'native' cuisine is cracker cuisine? But I can't name any places. There was one spot we went to as kids near Sumter County, maybe in Panasofkee?

But yeah that yearly people surge and industry of tourism is ultimately what keeps that state nuts.

At work, When I see guys in the metal shop without hearing or even eye protection, I’ll gently hint to put some shit on, usually they take the advice.

I rode at interstate speeds once without hearing protection. Once. Now I always have my headphones in when I ride. I have a modular helmet too so it's even noisier than a regular helmet.

One other area is loud bass. I used to be able to tolerate it turned up to almost full volume. Now only about 1/2 that before my ear hurts.

So as anyone who's been following my RCLB thread would know, the radiator is just super fucked on this truck. Pic below.


I'm assuming the rest of the cooling loop looks similar. So what are your thoughts on buying the cheapest autozone radiator I can to do some coolant flushes with cleaner?

Sacrifice the cheap ass radiator as my strainer for particles from the rest of the loop.

Why use a radiator at all? Maybe there's an alternative method with a tank or tub of some kind.

 

AFAIK, the passages in the heater core are generally tighter than the passages in the radiator.
Your thinking is on track, but IDK that it'll yield the results you're after.
Flush as much as you can before hooking up the radiator and then maybe flush some more after install if you're worried. See if you can't hook a garden hose to the bottom hose (lots of duct tape) and crank up the hose. That will certainly keep the truck from overheating while you dump all the dirt out the top hose.

Or clean your old rad with CLR until it's clean enough and then flush with is.

 

I'd try to backflush both the radiator and heater core as @chrisb suggested. Since you have another vehicle and can let this one sit, disconnect the hoses on both radiator and heater core back flush, then fill with cleaner (IIRC CLR isn't safe for aluminum so I'd probably go with radiator flush) and let it set overnight then backflush again. Then I'd fill the system with another bottle of cleaner and run it up to temp for awhile and drain.

Refill it with clear water after than and see how it looks.

 

2 cups of draino and half a sprig of lemon. Add ice to taste. Swoosh but don't swallow, wine style.

My old wired headphones worked great, easy on/off. My new wireless headphones suck balls. Buells vibration either messes with the cone or noise cancelation or something. They’re jbl endurance sprint. My icon airflite is excellent at speed, but i cant hear people wearing masks and i have to wear a do-rag so my ears dont fold over.

AS105 6pk is what I typically buy for a job that big. As much as I hate Chris Fix, he has a decent video on it. I found a better video online than his shit a few years ago, but can't seem to find it now. That guy made some custom hose jobbyfor final flush.

 

So I am making a parts order and wanted to throw in new hard lines that connect the caliper to the rubber hose. Apparently there are two different size calipers. This is what McGeorge told me when I asked. Anyone ever heard of this?

That actually makes sense. I didn't think they moved up to the 13WL's until 2003 though. I wonder why there would be two options for my 02. Interesting that I was able to use the same hard lines for my 14WA's.

 

I don't want to hear that shit. My text books this year are $100-200 and I need like 6. Plus they are being super weird and making us buy our own lab equipment so thats another $100. Maybe my wallets asshole won't hurt so bad after being raped by college for the next four years. Not going to be able to pay for mods for a looong time.

 

Well, if it makes you feel any better, minimum wage was around $4-5/hr at the time and professional engineering books I used to buy at Borders (before they closed) in 2010 was around $120-$150 each.

 

It's incredible that they haven't shifted from publishing new editions annually (for the sake of making old books useless) to creating pdfs. They charge enough for admission, reading material should be free.

 

I was a cheap bastard. Someone in every class would let me copy their book for $20. I bet i got through all 4 years with $200 worth of supplies.
But that was community college, so it wasnt really book oriented learning. All the worksheets and tests were on blackboard.
