One stage polish [3D One with LC blue HDOs (5 inch), LC flat oranges (3 and 2 inch), and LC orange (1 inch)] on this 2020 4Runner Venture package. Slick color.

Topped with Meguiar's M27 and then Glassparency Graphrene spray. Very much enjoyed the GP spray (first time using it).

I get that a lot...my version is "Well, little Johnny Jones down the street will do it for 25.00"....I always reply politely...."I would see when he can fit you in then". Some people look surprised and leave, and some people schedule with me.

Looks great! I plan to do both my Tundra and Sequoia with Powerlock once it cools off.

I love Powerlock, but I generally skip the Collinite. I don’t think Powerlock gets enough credit for how good it looks on its own. I feel like it’s especially effective in adding gloss to lighter colors, but it may just be my imagination. It’s definitely my go to on MGM. I do generally add wax later though to refresh the gloss.

@Ckatz53 I'm getting my truck back from the body shop on the 13th. Is there a waiting period for applying ceramic to new paint?

Depends on the paint manufacturer's recommendations and if the body shop used IR ovens to cure the paint. Whenever I've coated vehicles with freshly painted panels, I've gone through the body shop to contact the paint manufacturer to get their recommendation. The last we did was 14 days recommended (we waited an extra week just to be safe). Most body shops will give a blanket statement of 30 to 60 days just to provide a safe answer. I'd ask the body shop manager and to see if they would be willing to either call the company that makes the paint they use or get you a number to contact them at.

TRD Air Filters, Front door windows tinted to match the rears. Wheel locks, Talons Garage cat shield, Tyger Automotive soft tonneau cover, WeatherTech floor mats with Tuff Skinz Custom Emblem kit, Toyota OEM Emblem Black Out kit. AVS vent covers on all four doors, Red Tundra letters on front bumper & TRD highlighted in Red on front grille. Tailgate Tundra Letters in Black.
I believe its 30 days after a paint job for waxing or ceramic. I would check with the body shop.

Cool, thanks. I'll talk to the shop when I pick it up. I did CQuartz about 3 years ago, it's about time again. Plus about half the truck will have new paint. The last time it took me and a friend about 18 man hours to do it. When I have a better idea about timing I'll be in touch. I'm thinking a long weekend for me and my wife visiting Annapolis while you do your thing. And maybe a social visit too if your schedule permits.

Hawaii native 2017 Yukon is beating my ass with water etching. Spent almost 16 hours alone compounding this big body SUV. 90% correction rate (too much to wet sand and not worth it on thin OEM GM paint). Spent this afternoon (about 6 hours) polishing and prepping for the coating tomorrow. Slowly but surely...

Day 3 completed. Wheels hand polished and sealed. Two layers of IGL Quartz put on. Got some final touches and a sealant to put on top in 4 hours, but I'm beat. Excuse the mess. Been at it since 7am the garage is a wreck with equipment and bullshit.

I used Beadmaker. Usually my go to is Poor Boy's but he's Plastidipping them (don't ask me man lol) in two weeks so I didn't want something that would last longer than PB (usually about a month). Been watching some Vlogs where this Ausi guy has had really good luck with Beadmaker on factory chrome/alloy wheels (not good on matte finishes) so figured I'd give it a shot.

Didn’t mention I used a wax I hadn’t tried before. (Collinite 915 Marque D’Elegance) Wasn’t really impressed with it. Nowhere near the results I get from Vortex, Cherry Silica, or Signature Shine.
Pretty disappointed considering the time it takes to hand wax a Sequoia. Spent a good three hours on that truck Saturday morning.
I did use Shine Supply Trim Shield for the first time in quite a while on the running boards and mirror plastic. I’d forgotten how awesome that stuff is since I’ve been using Cerakote for the past year. It won’t last as long, but much more forgiving to apply and still lasts longer than anything other than Cerakote.
