We've got one in our group that wouldn't take it well. She's a bit odd. We hid a fart machine under her desk the other day (only triggered it twice), and she called in sick this morning and later told her boss (my second in command) that she felt picked on.

 

That sounds awesome, but I'm certain at least one person, maybe 2, in my office would go to HR because we had guns at work. He's from Chicago, and I know our HR would take it seriously. The new HR Lady includes her pronouns in her email signature.

I hate what we are turning into.

 

She may have a farting disorder that she takes medicine for. You all should really be more empathetic.

 

Y’all need to start training for the cold if we’re gonna invade Canada and be successful. Go the the Kwiki mart and spend some time in the walk in cooler, preferably naked. Seriously don’t wanna here any more bitchin about the cold.

Practical jokes are a way of life around here...gotta keep it light or we'll all go crazy.

 

I'll pass on the tequila, but I'd love to be allowed to wear shorts when I work nights. Nobody else is in the building, so why do I need to keep a dress code?

Speaking from experience

 

I don't know about "turning into". It's just the type of people who tend to work office jobs (at least in the oil industry). 10 years ago I heard of people who were getting offended because when they did their morning calls with the drilling rigs, there might be the occasional 4 letter word. So management had to put up signs outside the meeting rooms warning that there would be rig workers on the calls and that there was a possibility of bad words.

 

At my last job, one hot day my boss asked me if I was allowed to wear shorts. So naturally I said yes. (Though now I'm wondering if I should have said no and asked to go home to change.) My new company is much stricter about professionalism, though.

 

And twenty years ago "sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never hurt me" was still in effect. We, as a society, are turning into a bunch of thin-skinned fucking sissies. The worst part is we are catering to the few because they are loud. Feelings are being valued above rights, freedoms, and facts.

Fuck society.

I just saw that 12 service members died today. I'm gonna sign off for a while, be thankful for what I have, and be sad for those who we've lost.

 

Not up for debate. But it’s a shit day. Keep ur politics to yourself but just know you’re not alone.

 

He definitely wants to come. Pretty rivers and mountains are great. Freedom is better.
