biggest plus, your shit doesn't slide all over anymore, it will stay where you put it. Bed mat over the line-x is the best set up for a bed imo, at least an open air bed.

I like the lights in the grill. I haven't been too keen on ditch lights myself. My S8 arrives today.

Thanks, I've been in a lot of places that have a tight turn and I have to go extremely slow and still guess where the road is. I figured that I'll sacrifice looks to save the truck. I think that S8s going to look great on your beautiful truck

Same thing happened to me using the 2016+ codes on UltraGauge. Only the older ones actually work and they seem to be accurate as my temps are very similar to what others have reported here

Well it took all morning but I got my matched bumper end caps from Painted OEM Parts installed

    14D4880D-2973-4FB5-B674-2B0EEEEB0188.jpg 5AE1A4A1-2F29-4728-AB62-1D1EB7BE9128.jpg

as promised - I said I’d do a mini review,

they were here in less than a week after I ordered them. (Still waiting 3+ weeks for color matched door handles from sparks)

the packaging was great, they came in a cushioned box and then each piece inside an official Toyota bag that resembled one of those cooler bags from the grocery store.

They were powdered to prevent scratches?

Paint finish is spot on, I wasn’t sure I was gonna do the install myself so I took them to a local body shop for a quote and the tech there was even impressed at how spot on the match was.
    Great product

Brought my FD home after being in the shop the past four months. Both vehicles need a good wash and wax after the trip.

Found these in the local classifieds. They'll fit right? How much will they stick out?

Here are the specs and what he says about them...

Condition Used - Good, minimal wear
17x8.5… 0 offset. Less then a year old. 3 Tires have roughly half tread left. 1 tire is worn on the outside edge, could still be used as a great spare. 315/70/17. Truck was totaled and I pulled these off before the insurance took it. I’ll include a set of lugs.

Came off a 2nd gen tundra bolt pattern is common 5x150. Will fit other models.

I know many members run those same Methods. If you found what model they are, I'm sure a quick search would show you some folks running them and that would answer your questions.

Probably quite a bit of modification needed, if you don't already have it. Body mount chop; front bumper trimming or shimming (at least) or an aftermarket that accommodates larger tires; levelled or lifted. Gonna look awesome. Examples.

First wash in a month or two. Slight pucker when the car wash people started arguing about whether it would fit.

Sorry. Should've included this in my original post.

    They are
    Method NV305/ KO2s

My main reservation is I was planning to purchase a 20" rim. 17" isn't my first or even second preference.
I'm not sure about the offset but I suppose he'd let me put one on just to see how it looks.

I don't want a BMC but was told by local tire shop we could remove the front mud flaps and make slight plastic trimming and I could run a 34" tire. Not sure how accurate that is.

If you have a 34" setup but one guy is running 17" rims and the other is running 20" rims, is ride quality different?

I don't off-road and my perception of smaller rim/larger tire is that it's more for off-roading whereas a larger rim/smaller tire is more for street driving. I want to have a somewhat off-road look but not planning to take it off-road.

    I believe it, but it probably isn’t a 315. 285 / 70 18 are also considered a 34” tire but are more than 1” narrower.

Look at Coachbuilder bumper shims before you make a final decision on trimming. There is at least one other vendor for shims, but CB is a great source of info and is helpful. On whether you'll get rubbing, and what you'll need to do about it, there's good advice here.

I'll be putting 20's on mine in the not too distant future, but 17's, 18's, and 20's all look great to me. I have a passenger whose opinion I need to sway or follow, though, and neither 17's nor bronze made the cut... Looking forward to pics.

I'm running a 34" tire with 0 offset and there is definitely front fender liner rub at full lock in reverse. I probably did not need a CMC, but i had it done before fitting the wheels/tires. I'm going to try ordering a pair of fender liners to try trimming and attaching further forward in the bumper. my setup is 18x9.5 wheels with 0 offset. tires are 295/70/18. if you type those specs into and put your specs in there you can compare the fitment. If you're the same size, you'll run into the same issues. If your tire is any taller or wider, you're gonna have to deal with it in some way.

edit: forgot to mention that the tires poke about 1.5" past the fenders.
