I still remember that pain.

 

Made me think of my first "real" bike. A Santa Fe Huffy with a banana seat. Ugly as hell but it was built to take a beating. I rode that bike everywhere. Jumped it, crashed it. Loved that thing.



My dad worked for Pepsi as a route driver. He'd always win little sale contests they were having. He won a Mountain Dew BMX bike. It was freaking awesome - had hand brakes, red tires. Mountain Dew emblems all over it. I lived about 1/2 mile from our school (K-12 all in one building - about 500 students in total). I rode it to school and was so proud. Had it locked up in the bike rack. Came out after school was over and a bunch of the high school thugs were standing around it, trying to dismantle it. They screwed up the brakes, messed up the seat. All sorts of shit.

Bastards. I may have to drive up North and hunt them down.

 

That’s a sick bike. Woulda killed for that when I was a kid. I’ll join you in hunting those bastards down. Just name the place and time.

 

Perfect - I believe a few of them served time for statutory rape (seriously) so they might be a little tougher than I expect. It'll be the top of the lower peninsula in Michigan so you can either take the Badger ferry from Manitowoc to Ludington and drive up or head through the UP. Do you happen to own brass knuckles?

The bike was amazing. Unfortunately, after they accosted it, it never rode the same. Could never get the brakes right, which may have been their plan... Let's get them.

The one I'm really worried about is named "Ted." Dude kept flunking so he had a full mustache and his drivers license in 6th grade. He was a fat bastard also, but, because he was the youngest of 4 or 5 hoodlum brothers, he was freaking tough. He could sprint like a bear. Damn, he was mean. He probably ran his prison cell block.

 

Someone grabbed this off of my front porch when I went inside to grab a glass of water... bastards.

Not the exact bike but it was a Cooks Bros with Z rims and a flite saddle. Man I loved that bike.

I raced BMX in my youth, I believe the entirety of my shins is scar tissue.

Woohh slow down there partner. I know you gettin amped up and can appreciate the vigor, but I got nothin against our Canada friends. Bike stealing fucks I’m all in.

If I've learned anything from our younger generations, is that you can remember anything you want. I just happen to remember being part of the "Miracle on Ice" team. Never mind that I was only 8... That's part of the "Miracle" they are talking about.

 

You might have missed the thread - Taquito and AZ have been plotting an attack on Canada for a while…

Mostly just transporting the spoils of war (special edition Snickers and Kit Kats) back across the former border. Somebody is gonna have to drive the 18-wheeler...

 

I can do that.I’m a good driver and great sense of direction. Plus will do anything for Kit Kat’s. November should still be warm enough. I have an extra parka for ya. And hand warmers.
