Looks like I just didn't look hard enough, I was able to find the 2002 part numbers matching the ones I took off which are a match to what @shifty` posted. I took them off specifically to get the part numbers so I don't mess up.

Going to take a few hours to finish my decision on tails (2002 style vs 2005 style) given my white truck. Having real trouble deciding on that but leaning 1% to 2005 style.

There are access cab headlights with that little corner light too. I have a set in my garage. It reminds me of a tear duct.

@shifty` do you like the tears better than no tears? I assume the original part numbers are no tears since they match the ones I have.

Both headlights in my picture have the teardrop DRL things. You just can't tell because the old ones - even after I polished and cleared them, as shown in the picture - were still blurry enough you could barely see the damn DRL teardrops.

I ended up having to get DRL because I had DRL, basically. My truck was pre-wired for them. And it kinda pisses me off, because I really want the the convenience flash feature on Diode Dynamics' smart flash system, but they're not supported in DRL trucks like mine with the 21-pin or whatever flasher relay bulkhead under the dash.

Those DRL teardrop things really serve little to no purpose IMO and I know a lot of guys will just disable them entirely. I keep my headlights on 24/7 anyway, so I don't think the DRL bulb actually serves a purpose.

Ah, the tear is the DRL. On mine it's just the low beam on as "DRL". Not sure if it's lower power or something? Kind of weak in my opinion but not sure how much I can futz with it.

Yes, that's the DRL on mine. And now you mention this, that yours uses the regular light for DRL ... I need to go back and reply to someone so we can clear up a mystery. It didn't dawn on me what they were saying back then.

Do the 04 double cab trucks have drl’s? Mine are disconnected but if I could get some headlights without the teardrop I would lol. Since mine are looking rough

Bilstein 5100's, SPC UCA's, ATS HD leaves
Just brought the truck home from installation of ATS H-D leafs and Bilstein 5100's out back. Very satisfied with the ride quality and overall handling of the truck now, especially with the Bilsteins on the 4th notch and the SPC's adjusted properly on the front. It shouldn't be any surprise considering the old leafs and shocks were probably the originals with 188k on them. The ride quality and responsiveness were "flat" and squatted deeply under acceleration. No more. Center hub to fender now measures an even 24", which I expect to decrease a little after some cycling of the springs and loads.

Thank you @Lil Steve for the ATS H-D recommendation; you nailed it.

Note: I run the Bilstein's on the 4th notch because we don't have massive potholes here to contend with and this set-up really shines on the open-road at 70+ MPH, which is where the truck will spend most of it time when I drive it. I only mention this because I know many people running them don't like them set that firmly, but under the right conditions the 4th notch produces excellent results at a reasonable price-point. After running them over the course of 10 yrs or so on multiple vehicles I've come to realize that many consumers misapply them due to a lack of understanding of their application of them then balk about them. Anyway, an "after" image:

My drl's were the headlights til I disabled em by pulling the plug to the right of the battery. I like the tears. I put some amber leds in them. Would be cool to get switch backs and wire em with the blinkers

On the subject of taillights, thought I’d share another option. Old style but minus the amber and red.

Can anyone help with a part number for the missing color matched clips. Found them on eBay for 17$ shipped and I’m sure they are $1 change at the dealer. Every person selling them hides the part number.

The orientation of the tacos tails are the same as the og pickups though. Never understood why tundra got that part wrong with the amber red clear instead of amber clear red. I would have liked the 00-04 tundra tails better of they were the proper OG orientation.

I might be in the minority here, but I prefer taillights with an amber lens. Makes the turn signal stick out more. Hate brake lights that also function as turn signals.

I picked up a set of these from Amazon for about $12 and just used some black ones... and it gives me whole bunch of additional replacements.

We may have to ban all this talk about taillights. It's more divisive than politics and the rona! :D
